Amazing world of demi-humans

Fantastic world building! Pretty solid. I love the characters, even the antagonists. They're all unique, having great foundations for their own identities. Their motivations are either relatable or well founded per their personality and background. Although they certainly fit into various archetypes easily, they have enough of their own pizzaz to keep it interesting. The most frustrating thing are the SHORT CHAPTERS....the pacing is actually perfectly fine, but it seems dragged out when the chapters are on the short side and you have to wait a week between each one.

The whole plot involving a human female integrating with the Clansmen would appeal to people who like a similar set up with other demi-human races, e.g. Animal hybrids, humanoid mythological creatures, demons, etc, that have a rich culture and strong family dynamics.

Criticisms: The main relationship is heavily influenced by imprinting/hormones and some people may feel that without that "cheat code", the romance and attraction just isn't enough to make their relationship feel natural.

Although the FL is strong willed emotionally, she finds herself physically in situations where she's at the mercy of a man to come save her. Using tactics other than physical force to get out of situations hasn't been explored.

There are hints of her body having a unique constitution, but so far no evidence of powers of her own that will allow her agency among these people with super human powers.

Update: Now that I've completed the series, I can still say that it's....fine. It could've been better, probably, but it's fine as is. I feel like a lot of was left out, but I can't really point to any one thing. Something about the story telling is missing. It ended appropriately, but I'm not completely satisfied. Like maybe it was too shallow? I dunno.

I do recommend reading it, regardless. Just keep expectations tempered. It was interesting, at least.

I really loved this one! I’m kinda sad more people aren’t talking about it. The fl and ml are so sexy together and the story is refreshing.

Urgh, Cold Female Lead Kinda

The story is slightly fun, but also slightly problematic. The prologue is just bad, so I recommend skipping it; you miss nothing. The art is fine-- it's just that the men are drawn with that not super proportional chest style.

Anyway, the review. Our lead, Jeongyeon, is a cold, straight-forward talker with a few difficulties and baggages from her youth. The sarcasm and bluntness of her personality is my favorite part about the series. She is reasonably smart and weighs her decisions according to the information that she has. Though, my major problem is that the romance and butterflies seemed to have come out of nowhere. To better explain this, even though she knows her emotions are being influenced by outside factors (ie imprinting/pheromones), she doesn't make the most reasonable decision of not trusting her emotions. This means that every time she even thinks, sees, or smells her "love interest," her decisions just betray her personality and character that we have come to know.

And for this reason, I get grossed out when I am reading it. Our lead is basically being emotionally manipulated (We could make parallels to being drugged even). The otherside of the coin, the "love interest", ie the older brother, also has got butterflies from out of nowhere. They barely no each other.
