Description

"Healing magicians cannot fight alone." Keare, who was bound by this common knowledge, was exploited again and again by others. After watching The Anime Man's review on this manga, I immediately decided to read it. It's pretty bad, but in a fascinating way.

I don't usually read/watch isekai/fantasy/rpg media, so I have no idea how cliche this story actually is. The magic system is pretty bonkers and basically exists to ensure that the story continues forward.

Summary: MC is a healer hero, who can only heal people by reexpierencing and absorbing their pain. He gets picked up by some party members, who treat him like shit. This includes: 1) continuously raping him to increase their power levels? 2) forcing him to cast healing spells despite the excruciating pain 3) giving him an addictive drug in exchange for healing spells 4) treating him like a literal dog- leash + cage + dog commands 5) constantly treating him like garbage. (All in one chapter!)

Four years of this shit- he somehow becomes OP enough to go back in time to get revenge against his party and the entire kingdom for crimes against humanity (demi-humanity😕). His revenge includes more rape, brainwashing, slavery, poison, and so much more!

I'm not sure who would enjoy this. Fantasy nerds will probably be annoyed by the bizarre magic system. Perverts probably won't want to slog through story explanations between sex scenes. Morally decent people will find themselves appalled by how unlikable and bland every single character is. Really, only weirdos who are interested in how the hell they will adapt this into an anime will enjoy the read.

4/10- the continued decline into moral atrocity, as well as the increasingly nonsensial magic system, will keep the reader from being bored, but you are guaranteed to hate yourself after reading it.

Juvenile and repugnant rape fantasy

The main character isn't an antihero. There's nothing heroic about their actions, by their own admission half of the appalling things they do are unjustified and done largely for their own desire and amusement. Even that might have been redeemable if it had been executed well. But it isn't. There is no characterisation, even the protagonist is a barely there two dimensional cipher. He's also, clearly and explicitly, a moron. He pontificates about his cunning but then fails to grasp the most obvious results of his actions. Getting surprised and angry when his actions have disastrous consequences for the only people he "cares" about. If it has been better written and less gratuitous there might have been something interesting to say about the consequences of abuse. But that single idle thought has more nuance than the entirety of this work.

There is no world building, the power system shown has no real rhyme or reason to it, is never explained and frequently contradicts itself. There's no real over-arching plot. The art isn't too bad. But the main content of the manga is the main character raping people into submission (often virgins so you can be sure to frequently get a charming close up of blood dripping from their vagina) or butchering people. If you consider that interesting or appealing then this is for you. But that's all there is to it. It's garbage.

Revenge story? Ok, but the setting the author chose is completely retarded. The villain drugging him makes sense, anything other than that is a load of BS, let's say he's not being considered a human being, no problem, he's still an incredibly valuable commodity or thing in he villains eyes, having him randomly beaten to death for no reason is utterly ridiculous and this kind of crap are what a pathetic and lousy writer does to justify later development. Even worse, when he gets his revenge what does he do?

after a little torture and then he deletes her memory and makes her his slave-girlfriend!!! How the hell does that qualify as making her suffer if she is not conscious about it? And were the hell did that transformation spell come from? A spell for changing stats suddenly can do a completely different thing? And not just change his face, it even changes his freaking clothes and body structure... what a load of BS, oh, let's not forget it also has the unremarkable power of manipulating peoples memories, because, why not, right? There are lots of revenge stories out there, do your brain a favour and skip his one. And the further you read the more disgusting it is, it seams that for the mangaka the requisite to be a hero is to be rotten. Last, don't forget the heavy hentai component, might add borderline depending on the reader sensibilities. As such this manga seams like the pointless satisfaction of he mangaka's twisted fetishes.

And maodesu, you can hardly call it bias, they read and despised the manga, whether they should have voted a 2 instead of a 1 based on your sense of value not necessarily is justified for theirs.

This manga is absolute garbage, but for some reason, I couldn't stop reading. The pacing of this manga is way too fast for any of the violence and rape to have any effect on the reader and by the time you're a couple chapters in, you're desensitized to all of it, and it just becomes rather repetitive. I'd also like to add that the protagonist really sucks at getting revenge on the people who did him over. He keeps adding these girls to his harem of sex slaves but for what reason? It really feels like he had no plan to begin with. At least the arts mostly good.

Just because there is no likeable human beings in that manga doesn't warrant it a 1/10 vote. That's technically improbable, since there's at least a decent art going for that manga(compare with Freesia, if you will).
Well, who would have thought, but similarly-themed Nidome no Yuusha is getting less hate despite all the torture and stuff. Apparently a rape is a bigger issue for some people than a torture is(which is basically the same thing, in my book), but they opt to still read the manga, that is clearly tagged for them to avoid, and then lash-out later. Duh.

Friendly reminder - that's not a pro-<insert_category>/anti-<insert_category> voting, so have at least a decently calm state of mind when you rate. That will help others to properly evaluate read value of the manga. Also comment your rating if possible.

What the author might be going for

Since this manga involves "go back to the past" to jumpstart the story and like the other commenters have said the main guy is by no means a decent human being, particularly in the way he chose to exact his revenge in his new life.

However, the author still holds a trump card just a matter of when he uses it that can rectify all this depravity: is the exact plot device which allowed "travel back to the past" to begin with. Eventually the main guy will reach the same spot where he originally obtained the "restart" device at chapter 1. At some point he may come the realization that the way he went about his revenge caused more pain to himself and his loved ones and left the world in an even more horrible state that he'll just opt to restart again. The series may even just end with that note.

But for now it's just depravity for the sake of shock value really.

06-14-2019 edit People kept telling me it gets better. So against better judgement I picked up the latest couple chapters.

Sociopathic female villain rapes some lowly slave woman with a dildo full of spikes dripping blood, strangling the poor sod and telling her to squeal. Stops when the slavegirl dies.

No. Just... no. This should not be put to print. Wishing I've never heard of it.

Misogyny, misandry and hate.

This is a manga for people hate everyone and hate their lot in life and want to take it out on the world at large, its revengeporn to the point of evil and pure hate. No redeeming characters or traits. This "story" will go nowhere. Avoid. 1/10 because lower is not possible.

A 14 year old kid who was raped and abused daily because his bodily fluids and magic makes people stronger, by absorbing their pain and lifelong damage and making people break their level cap. Literal armies of soldiers rapes him day and night. For years small parts of their power came back in a feedback loop he didnt know about since he was drugged and mindbroken. At the apex of battle years later he had built up enough to make a breakthrough and overcome the abuse and by "story magic" and use the "magic mcguffin of absolute power" to go back in time to get revenge on everyone evil, no matter who gets in the way. You cant have an antihero from this type of human depravity. The plot is is about evil (mc) fighting evil (his rapists and abusers) with what they did to him. Its absolute garbage.

The only minor positivity it could possibly have is as stress relief for angry people perhaps? You dont rape and torture an truly evil person. You put them down like a rabid animal, because they are a waste of a human life and anathema to progress, you End the cycle of abuse, you dont repeat it.

Complete failure of a manga.

MC is a Rapist

The plot is set up to have an anti-hero, but the author made him so bad that there are no redeeming traits. He rapes and kidnaps the girl he seeks to get revenge on, but he is not likeable and there is nothing to make me want him to succeed. At all. Terrible MC with powers that make absolutely no sense. He's a healer but healing abilities also allow him to change his appearance (for some unknown reason that we are just supposed to accept). I sincerely regret wasting my time with this.
