Joonha is a normal, healthy boy of sixteen who has cruised through life without too many problems.

Imagine his surprise when a recent trip to the bathroom suddenly reveals that he's not normal at all! With a shriek of "Oh, my Gosh!!!," he finds himself missing, well, something he never thought he could live without. The impact is too much for poor Joonha and he soon passes out.

While in his half-conscious state, he overhears the incredible truth: his family is abnormal in the weirdest possible way. After puberty, their chromosomes undergo some kind of mutation, which converts their bodies into the opposite sex! Which means his father is really a woman who has been living as a man since the gene change took place. Now Joonha has to leave behind 16 years of life as a man and live as a woman. What will his childhood friend Jinhoo and the girl he has always liked, Heewon, say when they find out?!

This manhwa will possibly put your heart through a blender if you don't spoil yourself first! I'm glad I knew who Joonha was going to end up with before I read the story because then I didn't let myself get too attached to any other possibility.

That said, this is an excellent gender bender. Joonha starts off as an arrogant, sexist man who believes all women should be meek housewives. He toys around with Heewon's feelings after she confesses to him (saying it's "unattractive" for a woman to confess), even though he really likes her too. When "he" changes to a "she", he freaks out and says something like: "I can't believe I have to give up all my ambitions and be a housewife now!" However, she eventually realizes that her sex isn't a limitation, she can still act "manly", and even as a woman, she can be ambitious.

Just to clarify for everyone who gets confused:
Joonha is the main character. Jinhoo is his male childhood friend. Taehyun is the man Joonha meets after she changes sex. Heewon is the girl whom Joonha loved before she changed sex. Then, there's some girlfriend or whatever of Jinhoo called Hyewoon or whaaatever.

HOW DOES JINHOO NOT END UP WITH JOONHA?!

Okay, you know that's what most people are wondering. I know it's practical for Taehyun to be with Joonha because he understands her ambitions and can her become the business tycoon she aspires to be, but he pales in comparison to Jinhoo for sure.

But what bugs me most is that Jinhoo really got the short end of the straw--he seriously is going to marry someone he realized he didn't love? He got back together with Hyewoon out of pity when her family suddenly died (so contrived, ugh) and he's just going to resign himself to marrying her?

There was no indication that he fell in love with her (ESPECIALLY when he tried to chase who he thought was Joonha through a crowd just the night before he proposed), just that he was sorry that he kept her "waiting". More like, "Hey, I'm still totally in love with my best friend but I still feel sorry for you so I'll marry you instead." Um, if you don't love her, you have NO obligation to be with her, no matter how bad you feel for her. I can't believe the mangaka could make him do such a stupid thing--it was like she couldn't think of a legitimate reason why Joonha and Jinhoo shouldn't be together, so she quickly made up a lame ending.

Also, what was up with Heewon and Taehyun's friend? For ABSOLUTELY NO REASON Taehyun's friend starts following her around, ditching his business ventures and future ambitions just to get ordered around by her! There's no reason why he fell in love with her, since she was only ever mean (seriously mean, not I-secretly-like-you mean) to him. He even leaves the country for her, what a stupid minor plot.

I felt that the way the manhwaga showed how love transcends gender was really well done. Heewon still can't stop loving Joonha even though she's now a woman and Jinhoo falls in love with Joonha even though he believes she's a man. Even Taehyun says that if Joonha was a man, he'd still love her and be gay.

In the end, my heart still goes to the pairing that doesn't happen (made worse by the fact that they said they'd never see each other again--what's up with that?!). I was satisfied from a practical point of view by the ending, but not emotionally. When two people say to each other things like "You're the other half of me" and "I'll never find another person like you ever again" and "I love you beyond gender" but STILL don't end up together, it's got to break your heart a litte. Unfortunately, in real life, you don't always end up with the one you love the most.

I seriously don't get why no one liked the ending. I thought it was great. I hate how the readers always seem to get what they want. It's so damn unrealistic yet that's always what everyone wants. People complain about unoriginality and then they go and complain when something is original/not typical/not expected. And the least popular character is actually my favorite. He's just too cool. XP

Not Bad, But...

It's certainly entertaining enough, but my STRONG recommendation to anyone wanting to start reading this is to spoil the ending for yourself before you do. Even if it's not something you like doing, in this case, do it. You see, the problem is no one likes the end to this series. In Click, readers are presented with 3 equally likely candidates for Joonha to end up with. She is in love with both the male and female characters from her past and meets a new male character that she grows to admire. There are compelling reasons for her to choose ALL of her love interests.

But this isn't why you should spoil yourself. The reason you should is how badly handled the final volume is. The manhwaga's note at the end explains that she had originally intended Joonha to end up with a certain character, eventhough another character became the overwhelming favorite. That should have told the author something right there: namely that her intended couple never got the proper development that they deserved. Up until the final volume, the lynch pin decision of the series seems to rest on what will happen between Joonha and [the popular character]. While all this was going on, the intended character should have been more active in the conflict, but s/he wasn't. At the very least, a confrontation between Joonha and [the popular character] should have occurred where things were laid out in the open about her gender and then they decided that they couldn't be anything more than friends. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Nothing is ever resolved between them because the manhwaga decided to take the easy way out and throw in really stupid soap opera-like plot complicatons to break them apart. Perhaps this could have been overlooked if the relationship between Joonha and the intended character got some needed development at that point, if s/he had been there to pick up the pieces, so to speak, but it didn't. Instead, that turned out to be the last chapter. Ending the series that way left the popular character popular and readers of the series highly unsatisfied.

So don't get your hopes up or get confused about the way it's going to go before you get to the end, otherwise you'll hate yourself for reading this series. The choice at the end wasn't a bad one, it was just horribly executed (leaving you feeling as though it was a bad choice). In part, what made this series entertaining is that all the love interests WERE in fact good choices. But overall, the best part of the series was watching Joonha's development as lialah pointed out. Her struggle with accepting her new gender was well done as was witnessing her transformation from a chauvanist into someone who accepted women (and her own femininity). So do give this manhwa a shot, but just be a little careful with it.

Disappointing and a rushed crappy ending

When I read the synopsis for this manhwa I thought that this would be a good read. Boy was I ever wrong. The story and character developments were not that good, which is a sad thing as this story had so much potential. I would have liked it to show some comedic and serious issues as to how Joonha would handle becoming a girl. Other than the relationship that Jinhoo and Joonha had the other characters and their relationships where poor and lacking. The ending was so rushed and horrible that it really pissed me off.

How could Jinhoo and Joonha not end up together? It was so obvious that those two really loved each other. The author just decided to create drama so that Jinhoo and Joonha would suffer for the rest of their lives living with someone that they don't love. Just plain RIDUCLOUS!!!!! Hyejin is a sad and weak girl. How could she just knowingly watch as Jinhoo, that she says she loves, is suffering because he misses the person he should be with instead of her. Just....Urgggh. I wasted my time reading this crap.

It's funny in in an ironic way because Joonha who is a total, absolute chauvinist is told that he'll end up becoming a girl. Talk about karma... heheheh~

So far it seems pretty interesting but they're still introducing the plot so I'll have to save my final rating until later. The art is pretty good and the the plot seems interesting. I'd say that it'd be a nice fun read, though - it has potential.

Man this manhwa was so poorly executed. I mean it had soo much potential but it was just boring and unromantic and stupid. The characters were unappealing and made some really wierd decisions that made them seem unrealistic. Although it was angsty as it should be for some reason that made the manga really difficult to read and I felt like it needed to be a little more light-hearted.
It just felt wrong in many ways. I mean I loved the whole gender transformation/best friend love business but it dragged out and I didn't like how the manhwa was going.
I don't really recommend it, the author did a poor job of a good idea.

I really liked this manhwa.Art is splendid and the story is very original.I hated the ending though.It was not how it was supposed to be.

I mean of course she had to choose one of them,but what would her choice be if that accident never happened and if Jinhoo didn't decide to sacrifice himself for her girlfriend out of pity?They were a much better match so I will just pretend I did not read the last chapter of 7th volume and the 8th volume.Other than that it was a good read,I laughed lots of times and almost cried at one time.

I got really frustrated by this series. Althought it kind of made me laugh, the story has too much sad feelings going on wild, and nobody ever gets happy nor what they want (most of the time, they can't live without the central boy/girl Joonha). The triangles separation were all soo without meaning, and with such a rush & sudden, it seemed like the author was crazy about getting to the end. By the way, I think the ending was lame. I was hoping for something more all the time (I think the characters deserved more then that), and when I saw what it ended up like, I thought: "why did I waste my time on this??" Yes, it was like that. And, as a result, I refuse to rate it.

Lite Gender Bending

I'm going to be the only odd one out and like the ending pairing. The pairing that everyone wanted just wasn't meant to be(there's a lovely scene in the last chapter that points this out). After Candy Candy, nothing can compare to how bogus how that pairing ended. It was odd because I thought that pairing was what everyone was complaining about.. but it wasn't. ill fated love hits everyone's heart strings. Boy 1 and Boy 2 were equal my eyes, and Boy 1 was simply knocked out of running by events out of his control. I think the main character might have chosen Boy 2 anyway, because the pianist wife comment is true, and she would have kept after Boy 2 to learn...

I wish there was some resolution for Jihan though.

Click doesn't hit any heart strings like Candy Candy or Kimi Ga but it's sort of a lite version of romance(Hot Blooded Woman type sorta) mixed with the above mentioned. Good read when you're bored but nothing that you have to read.

To tell the truth, I DON"T like the guy called by brid [the popular character] at all. He is just too plain to me, much less cool than the (called by brid) intended char. But there's some problem with the romantic development here: the intended char should have had more lines in the relationship stage; otherwise the ending will seem unatural.
