Description
Following the death of his daughter, Assistant Inspector Yamada Hajime has lost hope in everything, and jobs like closing under-aged prostitution rings don't exactly help matters. But there he meets a girl who looks alarmingly like his late daughter. Her name is Umino Shiori, a runaway girl who's desperate enough to sell herself to escape her house but won't tell anyone why.

I wish it was fully translated
Manga with these types of settings intrigue me, however most of them fall into catagoreis where the femc has emotional outbursts and phyiscally hurts the poeple arpund them
I like the mc and femc, while the mc does have a motivation that is fueled by a troupe
The femc is also a nice character, usually in mangas like these, the femc are mainly having emotional outbursts and such, she doesnt, she has walled herself off from getting emotionally attached to anyone, while she does hate her life, she still does not eant to die yet despite saying that she will kill herself.
In all honesty, this manga is a really great read, i really wish that it would be fully translated however
Ok so i used google lens to trnaslate the spansih translations into english so i get the overall gist, but i did not translate every page

that being how the femc reminds him of his dead daughter

so the cop got arrested and the girl ran away, the mom seemed to be apologetic but regardless she was an asshole, the cop ran away with the girl agter they both found they were about to be caught, they both went to a beach and the cop walked toward the sea and the girl tried to rescue him, he gets rescued by people and sshe does cpr on him and he just asks why are they alive and shit (he rememebring his daughter as she died by going into the sea) then after it shows the news report where he is arrested. In the final chapter its revealed any family he had disowned him, the cat was adopted by the artist lady, and the girl has ran away, the manga closes out to an image of a blonde girl at the tram statuon with her hands up at the sky, (i assume this is the girl) whereas the cop is driving away mindless somewhere else.

Every issue so far makes me want to cry but also have hope. A bright star about dark matters hidden in the open that gets lost among the flashy titles. True slice of life story that should make you angry that these things happen every day in every society.
And that poor cat... I really hope that cat gets adopted, but this story is so real that I feel the ending (for all of them) will be tragic in one way or another (and the MC detective has already had tragedy in his life enough).
