I read this manga a few years ago, I agree with the other posters, the rape scene was non realistic. Overall, the plot was pretty good. Although in reality, the doctor would have been written up or fired for missing a week of work and not calling in.

I quite liked this at first, but the rape scene just ruined it for me. It wasn't the act of rape itself that put me off, but the way it was handled.

For one thing, Yuuichi doesn't put up much of a fight at all. I know he was drugged, so obviously he couldn't physically struggle much, but he doesn't even verbally protest all that much. Surely in that kind of situation you'd scream until your throat got raw, not just try to talk sense into the attacker(s). The only moment that I could truly believe Yuuichi's anguish was when he screamed for Kaname. But then the aftermath was just ridiculous as well. It was all like, "Yeah, you both drugged me then attempted to rape me, but since you clearly love each other and just need to express your feelings to each other, then I'll let you just leave as if nothing happened".... ugh. What rubbish.

Such a shame really, I had high hopes for this. Anyway, there were some elements of this that I did like so I'm giving it a (very generous) rating of 6/10.

The art is really gorgeous, and I love the fact that both partners look like men.

About the story, I can't say much, since it doesn't have much of a plot and lets say that the yaoi tag isn't put there for nothing. There's also the rape scene which I found a bit disturbing since it was a real one (and it wasn't between the main pair), not the usual fluffy stuff, even though it wasn't hardcore.

On the other hand it did have some character growth, Kaname tried to separate himself from Yuuichi, when he thought that the latter had no feeling for him, thus stopping for a short while to act like a puppy and Yuuichi learnt to accept his feelings. But everything felt rushed, and too easily solved, usually by sex.

On the whole I can say I enjoyed if, even though it wasn't one of Kanke-sensei's best works.
