A very light "read"

This is a 4-Koma, which is the perfect format for this light and funny story. The characters are all loveable and the story line is entertaining. The reason for the high score is because it delivers what it sets out to do in less than 30 seconds per release.

It is fun. If you expect depth and a roller coaster of emotions, then do not bother reading 4-koma formats.

As of date (chapter 841), the story seems to be on its final stretch and currently the author is on a (long) break. I would recommend for those who want to read it to wait a few more months as it may end by then.

First time i rate a series with one.
I was against rating something 1, I thought it was simply not possible. But I felt all of the good stuff this series has were utterly destroyed by a single matter that i simply can't overlook. And it all occurred in a single page (page 595), and that is, the author thought it was a good idea to dump all the development the MC had, to make it something that really didn't make sense.
I really don't know what the author was thinking, did he thought it was it funny? but with that single change, i dropped the series instantly (imagine me dropping the book on the floor while reading).

I really liked the series at the beginning, i didn't care what some social justice hypocrites said, i even looked forward to the daily release. I thought it was funny and best of all, with good characters. Curse the editor, he probably thought it was a good idea to turn it into a generic weeb crap.

So I didn't start reading this series until it was at about Chapter 350 due to all the talk surrounding it and man did I catch in nno time.
This story is funny and different. You've got the tomboy girl and the most sense male character I've probably seen. Maybe on purpose sometimes. And you've got the straight talking friend and the cotton candy both of which add fun moments in between the main couples antics. Also do not believe people when they say it progression is slow. While it may seem like it you have to realise that having 500 one page chapters is a fraction of for example Nisekoi.

Overall if you like romance and comedy in small portions you will probably love this story.

to me, tomo chan is that ongoing manga u started reading after hearing all the hype & u genuinely enjoy it in the beginning & the daily updates r friggen great..

idk the plot right now in the recent chapters is supposed to be getting REALLY GOOD like its finally advancing!1! but I just feel so indifferent >.>

I'm starting to feel that all of the waiting 4 the two mc's to get together made me lose that spark I had when I started like.. meh. but MAYBE its just ME idk ok :/

I'm only keeping up with this manga bc I'm already too far along to quit; plus misuzu+carol=best girls af lmao

It's funny, the art is cute, the characters are likeable and it never fails to keep my interest. This 4koma will most likely never get serious (hopefully). It does have a few serious and/or touching instances that were almost always used as fodder for laughs--and worked really well.

As long as you don't come into this thinking you're going to get some some well-thought out plot and a few running gags here and there (because they're actually a-plenty), you should have no problem enjoying this 4koma.

This manga is about tomboys struggle to get a guy's affection. Its not about drama, confusion, jealousy, and or hate . If your into that go read Himegoto - Juukyuusai no Seifuku!. If you want to read a manga that's good for the soul, lightens the mood, Not garbage, and is a great manga, this manga is for you.

Funny, Quick Read with a Small Sprinkle of Romance

I really enjoy Tomo-chan, partly due to the short chapters and frequent releases. When it's publishing, I look forward to the chapter and it's easy to fit in the time to read it because takes like 10 seconds to read.

Tomo-chan is a very light-hearted read. Plot happens at a very slow-pace (and very little has actually taken place, but it might just feel that way because there seems to be so many chapters when in actuality it's only a volume of content), but for me this manga is more about just enjoying what does happen: the comedy, characters, friendships, silliness, ect. It's a comedy at it's core and everything else, the romance and plot, are secondary.

The characters are all likeable. Tomo is adorable, tough, tomboyish, and in love with her best friend Jun. Jun is dense (though not as much as he may appear to be), strong, and cherishes his friendship with Tomo. Tomo's friends are all given ample screen time for readers to fall in love with them as well, and the female friendships that exists are interesting to explore and read about. Sometimes you'll get frustrated with Jun if you're heavily invested in the romance, but after a while you learn not to expect much in that department and just enjoy the cuteness and hilarity.

The art is surprisingly well-done for one page a day. It's gotten much better in the past couple of chapters that I've actually paused to admire it on the occasion. And since I first wrote this review, it's gotten better and better!

If you're looking for a funny comedy and an overall enjoyable read, I would try this out, but remember that the romance tag isn't the focus so don't expect too much on that front.

The path of Himegoto - Juukyuusai no Seifuku!

If this manga ever get serious, I'm sure it will coincidentally choose the path of Himegoto - Juukyuusai no Seifuku. About a tomboy who wants to be a girl, but keep doing it secretly (I dont think Tomo-chan wants to be a real girl, at all) and his childhood friend who keep consider her as a boy & totally against her "dream" (Jun... I dunno what he think actually, But I bet he is not aggressive at all). I'm glad this is a romantic comedy manga, so I doubt it will ever get serious somewhere, dunno if its even possible for 4-koma to get drama? I really love this manga & I hope it will keep being funny & for those who never read this, PLEASE READ THIS MANGA ASAP!

First thing first, to address an uninformed review (the very first one): I'm sorry to break this to you mate but female MAs will be physically weaker than Male MAs should they undergo the very same training, it's one of the gists involved with being a sexually dimorphic species with the male being the bigger of the two. Deal with it, it's called reality, not steriotype.

The pacing is great and the characters are balls to the wall memorable. What are you doing here? GO AND READ IT YOU WELP!
