Description

When Lys was born, her heart did not beat at all. To save her, her mother made a contract with a devil: Lys can borrow his heart until the day she turns sixteen, but after that, he will eat her body. Together with her companion, Siva, someone whom she met by chance in the desert at night, she travels around as a dancer girl to find the devil who sealed her fate. One day, while they were traveling, they suddenly meet an egoistic prince and a ring spirit...

This story was really worth a read for me ^^
For one, the length of the story is short,yet the author panned it out just right.The art work is gorgeous! drools Siva.
And the romance is just right,yet you need more.I liked the love between Fatima and Maalouf,really touching.Its inspiring and very refreshing.I highly recommend! Its a nice way to get out of reality.lol :]

It was a very nice read. I enjoyed reading it. The plot may be slightly cliche, but I guess it had its own unique flair to it. It brought a new meaning to "I will give you my heart, so please take it." Siva was an interesting character (and a good-looking one) and the girl was okay. Lys wanted to be fair and return a huge favor back to Siva and I really like that kind of personality trait. It's admirable. I have to say....this manga is quite good for a typical shoujo manga. The ending was really great, I liked the ending.

It was pretty nice of that demon to give her own child's heart to Lys The only thing I didn't like about this manga is its length (two volumes only?) This manga is overall good and I would recommend this anyone who wants a good and short read.

A fairy tale for everyone to enjoy.

Among all the manga in this world, there are bound to be many that are mediocre. Thousands of manga, and so many of them stick to the common tropes and cookie cutter formulas, not bothering to be original or impressive, but many of which may be enjoyable to read in their own right.

Hanatsukihime is not one of those.

Hanatsukihime is, essentially, a fairy tale. I read it in one sitting, about an hour and a half. It hooked me from eh very beginning to the very end. While this is a shojou manga, as a guy, I still enjoyed it, and honestly, while it is a shojou manga all the way through, it is still going to be just as entertaining regardless of your gender. In fact, I'd even say it has fanservice that may appeal to the males (for example, I don't think Lys ever wears any clothing that covers the midriff at any point in the manga, unless you count the cloak she sometimes wears) while at the same time, being a shojou manga (I hear the girls love Siva, and I can sort of see why).

The artwork is what you would expect form a shojou manga. The style is exactly what you would usually see. I loved the art myself. Definitely good artwork, good enough that one could read it for the artwork itself... though there's a whole lot more to be had here.

The plot was mostly character-driven. Everything is about the characters, and that is a good thing. Don't expect political intrigue or a quest to gain power levels, you won't find that here. There isn't really a lot of tension or drama, however, the managaka creates characters that are easily likeable and who readers care about.

Like I said, it's basically a fairy tale. Do yourself a favor and read this manga. There's no one who I wouldn't recommend this to.

It was a short and sweet tale. Artistry was absolutely stunning. Love the concept. Very touching. My only thing is that it ended too soon. Wish it was a bit more detailed.

a girl was saved by having a devils heart. She travels to find him as a dancing girl. She doesn't really know that the devil is traveling with her. He keeps saving her all the time while she fights to live her life. He then gives up on taking his heart back but he goes nuts and in the end she takes her life to save him. But the other monster saves her by giving her child's heart to make her live. Sad but beautiful tale.

This is an okay read. The plot and characters are just kind of middling; they aren't amazing but aren't terrible. The art is very pretty except for

the main guy's "demon" form. Honestly, it looked a little too silly and bishounen-y, but that's my personal opinion.

Overall I think this manga suffers from being shorter than it should be. The relationship between the two main characters is already established by the first chapter, so you get the feeling that you're jumping into a story that's already nearly over.

Neither it's that good nor special. But well though.

Though I prefer an unhappy ending. Haha since I'm a tragedy-lover.
And a happy ending for story like this, especially like this one had done, is just too mainstream for me

The artwork is good, but not that special. Standard for shoujo's-good-artwork.

i loved this manga! it was different than most shoujos and the art is amazing. i'm not gonna say its a MUST READ since just because it floated my boat, that doesn't mean someone else would like it but i'd definitely recommend it to people looking for a short shoujo with beautiful art and a unique plot

First off, this really is shoujo manga, meaning it's manga that was created for girls. That being said, while it is possible for guys to like this manga, you have to remember it was created for girls, so don't be disappointed when it's romantic.
Now that that's been established, I think it's a wonderful manga. I'll admit I cried. Multiple times. During each chapter. Anywhoo. There's enough humor to cut through the dramatic and tragic parts so that the manga doesn't seem too heavy. The relationship between Lys and Siva is well-paced enough so that it's satisfying and reasonably believable. The characters are wonderful. The art is wonderful. The plot is wonderful (although admittedly a little cliche). The ending is actually pretty good. The series doesn't end in absolute tragedy, but it also doesn't end in an empty, happy, all-tied-up-with-a-bow way either. Overall, Hanatsukihime manages to spin a wonderfully romantic and at times tragic story without falling committing the sins of fast-paced love and cliched scenarios that are so common in the shoujo manga genre.

It was really touching & beautiful. It is also sad but at the same time a sweet story. I didn't really expect the ending

to be a happy one, i've already prepared my self that it would be tragic but I'm really glad that it didn't. aahh.. another one in my lists of favorite Mangas. I'm so happy I was able to read this. Thank you so much Hibiki Wataru, Thank you so much Aerandria Scans.

this was a really cute short read nice build up and then an end you kind of knew was coming.... Siva as previously stated by just about everyone was a spiffy bishie w/ dark hair....the art was neat and sweeping...Lys wasn't the dumb whinny female lead we are used to...Thor was adorable kind of like Shippo from Inuyasha...all in all a good lighthearted manga....(maybe i can only say this cuz i just came off of Banana Fish)....but all around a great read...
