This manga is simply great.I love the exquisite art and the fact that the heroine is not another idiot struck by love; she actually has a reason to be inlove with Siva and to care for him. The story is juat at the beginning so I can't say yet how it will evolve, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Note: this manga has nothing to do with Love Monster(which is btw the only manga I've ever dropped, too ecchi for my taste, not enough story).

Weak but had its moments but they were too few

I finished Hanatsukihime and honestly it was a weak series. ITs a short shoujo 2 volume series and its not like its complicated. A classic story about a demon (male ofc) who has no feelings (obviously) and takes care of a girl who gives him joy and life and how to feel stuff and shit. and then she grows up to be mega hot. Im not against cliches but the problem here is the pacing and choreography which are both kinda choppy. It has a couple of amazing double pages but its just weak. I didn't hate the series but it just was kinda weak all around. Nonetheless it did have its moments. Just were far too few. 5/10

Good thing it's short

The advantage of this manga is that it's short, so they characters don't get into ridiculous situations, but just deal with the main problem, have one climax and one resolution. As far as a demon story goes, I liked it, not my favorite, but it's a happy manga, and I loved the art, the demon's drawings were amazing, I really liked it.

All I read is mostly shoujo mangas, they appeal to me a lot, despite the many people criticizing it. This manga is just beautiful, I completely did not see the ending. I loved it. It was beautiful, sweet, warm, and I loved the characters. This manga truly expressed it's emotions clearly, especially the feeling of desperation. This manga is an A+, the art is amazing, the storyline is original, the feeling is just right.

I recommend this to everyone and anyone!

I held reading this story off, I stumbled across it a few times and it looked just like the regular cutesy shoujo where everything is always wonderful etc. However I finally read it and found that to some extent I was right but I was also terribly wrong. Terribly wrong in a very good way!

Plot- See the description above, now imagine darker themes woven into the story. Themes like... death and killing. The plot was much better than I thought it would be! The pacing was very nice, not to fast but in the two volumes it completed the story excellently. In the beginning it was a bit redundant, but it quickly develops into something more and in the end everything makes sense and had a reason for being shown. If anything I want to get across that the plot if VERY GOOD! It really managed to grip me, and near the end I was wondering how in the world it could end well! Everything comes together so splendidly... just read it!

Characters- All the characters were WONDERFUL! Each one developed throughout the story, even the side characters. They were all wonderful and I couldn't help but get attached to every single one, the two mains especially. These characters coupled with the wonderful story line made the manga all the more better.

Art- Beautiful, especially the clothes and scenery! It was so intricate and detailed, helping the already great manga become even better!

Other- Before I end this review I just want to say... this manga was AWESOME! The story is just so great, blending happiness and sadness, fear and hope, pain and love... now I feel cheesy! But really, this manga deserves some more readers and I feel stupid for not reading it before!

one of the BETS MANGA I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERD WHITHIN MY LIFETIME! Its sweet, great plot and awesome characters!!!!! The girl is ACTUALY strong-willed!!! (which hard to see in shoujo mangas generally) the only downfall is that it was too short! I MEAN , its surprisingly hard to encounter a good manga as this! BUT I LOVE THE DESPERATELY IN LOVE GUARDIAN ! FOR HIS uhhhhhhhhh female companion! ANYWAYS HIGHLY RECCOMENED! read this or yourll regret it!

Lys is a beautiful, hopeful and strong girl, although I have to say, her outfits were all a little too revealing (they were very pretty, though) Siva is a classic slightly evil-looking bishie, but the story is just so sweet. I was suggested this a while ago, and I didn't read it for a while, since I didn't really like the sound of the summary. Once I read it though, it's just so incredibly sweet, and there are sad parts that made me tear up, and it made me smile, and, and, and... well, I guess you'll just have to read it.It's very shoujo-y, but it's just something that makes you feel very satisfied.

Beautiful art and moving story. One of the few mangas whose story I continue to remember (with the manga's name as well haha). I cried at the end and many times in the manga as well. I've read many romance stories until I started to get sick of the repetitiveness, but this tops all, its amazing. You must read this manga, I urge you. I was so sad when the series ended at two volumes, like I had lost a light, a treasure (LOL).

I'm a fantasy fan and I really like this series. Too bad it's only 2 volumes. Artwork is great and story is good as well. A good romance story for all (especially for shoujo fans). I'm satisfied with the ending.

The characters are quite common for shoujo manga.
The setting created the atmosphere of something more unique.
I would recommend it for shoujo readers who want a light hearted read.
I didn't get very emotional overall but i enjoyed it.
Maybe because the ending was quite an expected one.
The artwork is fantastic.
Yeah.
Read it.
