damn.. why isnt it so much longer??!!~ this wouldve been better really if this was longer but i also enjoyed the way it was told, present, past, future, yeah that probably made it confusing for some people. i like it that the characters werent overly bishie or something.. i was kindda hoping for that but considering the really dark atmosphere sparkle is not really appropriate. the vampires felt real. no feelings! so cold. i thought that Henry will somehow show compassion to Maria but he turned... well, anyway.. IMPLICIT SHOUNEN AI?? well maybe because of all the talk about the eternal chasing and marriage and stuff. and it kindda hurts though that the women here well not stupid.. just too kind.. i like the Maria arc the best and i hate Flora..and i kindda have mixed feelings about Risone <or whatever the first girl's name is>.. so alrirght since im a sucker for anything from legends.. gotta say i like i like it.

I'll admit that my expectation level was very low on this one when I read it. Some vampire hunter guy with the last name "van Hellsing" that has vowed to hunt down some vampire even if for all of eternity just sounds a bit cheesy to me. I was pleasantly surprised by it, but it didn't hurt that the art was nice to look at. I do think that the length was just right... just long enough that you get the point that boredom is more dangerous to a very powerful vampire than a hunter ever could be and that the hunter turned vampire is going to inadvertently insure that he never gets bored.

The was a really nice oneshot. It was a little different than a lot of other vampire manga. It did manage to give you a little background on Karl, which was nice. It gave you enough to get to know him enough to care what happened to him. I do agree with other posters that this could have been longer. The story could have been taken a lot farther. However, it did work the way it was. The ending was fine in my opinion. It was solid enough to be satisflying, but open ended enough that the manga could be re-visited by the mangaka and continued. (Here's hoping!) The art was very nice, and helped make it enjoyable. Gotta say though, this is the first time I remember seeing a vampire with glasses (Henry). He looked good though. I do recommend this one to anyone who likes vampires.

Yepp yepp, everyone's right, the ending was sucha major cliffhanger, i swear the mangaka cud have written 5 more different story plots to go along with Crimson Cross.

But honestly, once you process the whole story through ur mind again, this manga had such a potential and the cliffhanger ending just left you freaked! ilovedit.

just as an advice,, there is a love-hate relationship so if u see things about romance or shounen ai dw, its realy more horror and pain than boyslove

I actually liked this story. To bad it wasn't longer, this would have made a great story if there were a couple of volumes more. The ending could have been better too. But overall it was interesting

i found that ending really annoying. Esp. that evil vampire, he pissed me off. BUT.... it was short and interesting, had very beautiful art, and for a vampire story it didn't feel very cliche or flat.

This series had the potential to be really good if it were a bit longer. It was dark, there was action and some interesting characters but everything (characters, plot, ending) was incredibly underdeveloped. This was definately not shonen ai; I have no idea why thats listed as a genre but it would have been so good if not for the ending! I was so dissapointed when I finished this and realized that the ending was basically non existant.

I think the ending was rather unsatisfactory. The thrilling plot should have ended with a more... complete ending. I was enthralled by the plot, but left quite disappointed by the ending, but it might make sense, because their story will have no ending. It is eternity. But the art is very good, and relating to the character in every way. But, I can't rate this because I think it needs a more satisfying ending.

I love it I love it I freakin love it!!

I've been looking for this kind of manga for so lonnng!!!
The summary said it has IMPLICIT SHOUNEN AI?? I didn't notice that.. there's no yaoi or Boy's love lol! and the plot is waaay better than what the summary had said! The plot deals with three different women that Helsing met who are all very much related to Vampires/werewolves. And yea..Elliot is the main antagonist in the manga. Btw..the women are not all naive and stupid..and Helsing is not Overly-bishie.. =__=;; (..this manga is so underrated, it deserves more LOVE!)

The plot's related to Vampires, Werewolves and Brides.The art's breath-taking and the story is so dark. (I have to admit though, the plot is not really original since it's very much related to the Count Dracula books and Van Helsing legend) but what can you expect from a European Vampire story??!

-I wish the mangaka would make more on this. I've been trying to get the licensed manga through Ebay but it seems that they're not selling the English translated manga anymoar.*Or probably it will be published!!1@!!
