I haven’t read anything in a long time that made me drop it for being boring/poor writing. I couldn’t even get post chap 5 and I LOVE BWT…. It sure what happened with this story.

Personally I did not enjoy the story as much. Main couples ark is so plain. Their characters just had no depth to make this enjoyable. Merry is the dullest character I have read, even a chair has more personality than him.

Merry acts like he has the mental age of a 9 year old. It makes his relationship with Sooho vaguely creepy tbh. Their relationship is incredibly unequal, to the point where idk if I can ship it. It's strange how he has no goals, nothing he particularly wants to do and no discernable personality (outside of acting like a kid and wanting to sleep with Sooho).
Idk the characters just get odder the longer you think about it.

It's not completely terrible, there's worse stuff you could read I guess. It just takes that passive uke/active seme trope to the extreme.

Okay first of all, the mangaka has all the right to choose was their characters' personalities are..If they're freaking bad then they're bad and if they're so freaking innocent or naive then that's that and there's nothing you can do about it. No one said the characters are based off of real life people so dont you go yapping about it's not possible for this and that.

Second, you dont go disrespecting a character like that, yeah they're not real but who said you can say whatever the hell you want.

Third, the wedding was for a freaking show, Tian Hu didnt want it, and the bride didnt want it BUT WHAT CAN THEY DO? See, sometimes you dont have any other choice but it's your decision what you're gonna do when that happens..Tian Hu did it to protect Meili, so that his crazy mom couldnt say anything in that matter..one less problem there.

And lastly, Meili grew on a very remote place, he doesnt know much and didnt have a chance to see/know more things. When they came to Seoul, Tian Hu said that Meili needs to find a dream/something he wants to do, so many in the later chapters we'll get to see Meili in a more productive way..

To that commentor, the manhwa is still not completed so I believe your comment/opinion is very much invalid. I didnt find your comment helpful at all.

I don't like this story

There are several things I hate about this manga. First of all, Meili's mom is a real scum of the earth. Her husband died and then his crazy-rich boss stepped in to help her raise her child. His wife was a bitc# and his family situation was unstable, so she thought it was fine to become his mistress, making his family situation even worse. Now, she seems to be aware of Tian Hu's feelings about her son and she exploited it in order to receive treatment for her terminal decease. She was so calm when she discussed with Tian Hu about his upcoming wedding while knowing that her son has a suspicious relationship with the guy. What kind of mother does that? She raised a sissy boy (nothing wrong with that, in my book) that is incapable of providing and living by himself, has NO personality, is clueless about the world. The only way he can survive in this world is by sucking Tian Hu's dick day and night, so that Tian Hu will be all-willing and happy and give him everything he needs. Meili has no moral compass whatsoever; he was kissed by a guy and reacted like a dead fish. Nothing surpises him. Tian Hu was still a child when he planned 20 years ahead in order to become financially independent and secure his place in the world while Meili learnt how to pout his lips and wear provocative clothes that expose his nipples and shape his butt. Oh, and to fish with his hands, too. A valuable skill, if you ever end up in a remote island.

The most irritating part was the whole Tian Hu's wedding arc. Meili could not and did not force Tian Hu not to get married. He showed a little discomfort with the whole situation, he cried a bit and then complied with Tian Hu's idea. Imo, if the idea of being a side-piece is fine with you, if you let your lover disrespect you to the extend that he can bluntly announce to you that he wants you to be his side bitc# while he's getting married to another person that he thinks is more suited to be his official lover and spouse, then what you feel for this person is not love and I'm not here for this type of cheap love-stories. This is not the type of stories I enjoy to read.

All in all, I have no good words for this manga. The seme provides and the uke receives. The seme is an intellectual and the uke is a highschool graduate. The seme has goals and aspirations, the uke just lays down (on the bed, on the floor, wherever) all day long to sleep and grew up without dreams and goals in life. The dynamic of the couple is off balance. I can see how Tian Hu may have carnal desires for Meili, but I don't think that sex makes a relationship. And this manhua wants you to believe that sexual attraction is enough to make a guy be head over heels about you, forsake his family and work his butt off to provide for your lazy ass. No. Just no.
