Honestly this one started just as good as sensei's other works, but that last volume was horrendous, i almost wondered if there wasn't a 4th volume somewhere in the works because it felt unfinished.

Disappointed

This series is composed by three books. One and Two were great, nothing against. Art beautiful, story interesting, characters being well developed, but when you reach book three... What a disappointment! The story is finished in a rush leaving you thinking "What the...?", "Is this itconfused" and then you have three good but simple and similar one-shot stories in the end of the book.
The mangaka had a great and somewhat different captivating idea in her hand but only trashed it in the end. sad
I gave an 8 because till the second book it was really worth reading...

Thought it would be better

Okay, when I started this manga, I really liked it. I really enjoyed Happy Hustle High, so I thought I would like this one. At first, I really did. It really is pretty cliche and just doesn't pull you in as much. It was kind of cute, a little funny, but I have to say I hated the last volume. I just didn't like the ending at all, I don't know why. If you're bored, sure go ahead and read it, it's amusing enough, but I know there are plenty other, better shoujos out there. Happy Hustle High was much better than this.

Missing that something special

I brought this series from tokyopop [first series i ever brought i might add] and i was fairly disappointed. Really now, there isnt much attraction to this series as it doesnt stand out at all compared to the hordes of other shoujo manga out their [beside the chibi modes which are wonderful]. If you are looking for a standard shoujo then go ahead and read it, but if your after something special which will stick to your heart then look else where

5/10 [i will not give it 4 or less since, it isn't a bad manga in it's own sense it just lack 'that something special']

I usually like cliche in shoujo but this manga was how shall I put it "Cliched to the extreme" it was not boring but the main girl is horrible in my opinion and the two hot guys that like her have no true character development. I still can't believe this manga of all things got licensed. When there are way much better written manhwa and manga stories that should be licensed.

i am a fan of takada rie's artworks. she always amazes me with her well-drawn character design and plotlines. plus most or (all?) of her mangas are soo goddarn hilarious... and this is one of the funniest. PUNCH! story about 2 people who are into boxing and both fell in love with each other. recommended of all those shoujo fans out theresmile

Nothing Special

It's just a typical story with no depth what so ever, nothing to get excited about, really. It's a shame, I guess it had potential but the story went no where at all. It's really hard to relate to the main character seeing as that it's quite unbelievable how she fell in love so quickly with this random guy -- yeah I know most romance manga is like that -- girl falls in love they both hook up, blah, blah but most have depth to them --explanations for why the girl feels this way and it preogresses but with this manga I felt NOTHING and I got NOTHING. So, I suggest you pass this one folks.

Intolerable!

I started reading this because the premise sounded interesting -- boxing isn't exactly a common theme in shoujo manga, after all.

My god. I really shouldn't have hoped for anything interesting! The heroine is a bland little dweeb with absolutely no realistic depth. No one can be that boring! Just reading about her romantic delusions makes me want to spork my eyes out. I have no idea why the two male leads have such an inexplicable attraction to her. Usually every person has something remarkable about them, but this heroine is the epitome of mediocrity.

You see, in order for me to get into a manga, I have to be able to forget that I'm reading about comic book characters. They have to feel like people to me, people I can relate to and understand, whether or not I approve of them.

But this heroine? She doesn't have enough texture to be realistic. She's very obviously a simple caricature of a shoujo character, and I can't suspend my disbelief or get myself to give a damn about her feelings.

I'm off to read some gritty seinen now, in hopes of washing my brain clean of this stuff. Ugh.
