Description

A typical "ML is the sc*m of the earth yet after breaking up MC takes him back" kind of story.
It's fun to hate on with other people in a comment section. But the story itself is frustrating and sad, so if you hate ML and don't want MC to have anything to do with him or root for the 2n ML then you'll definitely hate it.

Long and angsty, but good ending

The story is very long for the story it delivers, but the ending is very good.

The fact that the author left an open ending is very satisfying. More often than not, authors write the main character as forgiving everything, even the most assholish move and put the main characters back together. Here Wen NianNan is on his way of forgiving Gu Yansheng but it takes time. The fact that they both find a way to free themselves from their past is very well written.

Prepare your heart for angst

This story has a lot of angst in it. The art was OK and I found the story interesting. I did think that there were some loose ends with the way that some of the characters were handled but it was OK.

I have some mixed feelings about how the manhua ended. It felt like the ending it was rushed and sloppy instead of getting additional chapters we got a summary that walked us through the end. Although I did like the explanation on how the main characters ended up.

This is the one case where I am happy that the ending was different from the novel I love the fact that it was left open for the readers to decide. In this case for me I would consider it a happy ending (albeit rushed and sloppy) for everyone.

I would give it 0 points but I guess 1 point could be attributed to the MC that got to break free from his abusive relationship and grew stronger.
Now the premise is not actually ordinary and could be developed in a sensitive way considering the theme of an abusive relationship. But NO, after 100 chapters there was still no justification for it. Like, literally everybody knew that the MC was severly abused and have seen all the scars but still won't tell the ML about the sacrifice the MC made for him. Even if the MC insisted to keep it a secret, nothing actually warranted his surroundings to adhere to it considering the strong abusive behavior of the ML.
Reading it left me really frustrated, there was not one single good character (except the MC maybe) that acted without self-interest and drama just kept adding up without resolving anything.

You didn't know... I really crying because of this story... Seme(Top) is really disgusting and cruel... and i think the author think same as me because in the comic there a mini comic and in that comic Seme(Top) is a trash (?). I really like the Uke(bottom) because He is so bright and amazing . If i was him i think in 1 month i and the Seme(Top) is already divorced hahahahaha... the story is not that dark but really Psychological. If you didn't like Psychological story then dont read it or you can stress because of this.
