The ML just sexually assaults the FL over and over again. 150 chapters in and the "I'm falling in love with her" card is beginning to be dealt out but that is NOT a redemption arc or character back story. No thank you.

Usually it's the other way around, but yep another intelligent, kickass girl gets dominated by some ahole. I really enjoy chapters that he's not featured in (which is about at least half of the series, thank goodness), but every time he's there, it ruins the mood. She's just getting Stockholm syndrome I swear. I love her scheming. I love how she's very focused on her goals and is mostly rational, but when that guy is there- bam she's docile. Worst thing is, she can't fight him cuz he's powerful and rich, etc, etc. I am fond of yandere and possessive guys, but this guy is just too much. Urgh I wish I can find a story with a cool female lead like her where she doesn't get Stockholmed and picks the right guy for once.

Enough about that, the story itself is pretty interesting. It's very dramatic, has a lot of evil women scheming and the heroine prevailing because she has a brain (hurray). It's so satisfying to watch those schemers get owned by the female lead lol. I feel like they are definitely a lot of inaccuracies, like when commenting on the Chinese medicine side (but then again, I know nothing about medicine in general, so who knows).

The story is so good the pictures plot and character I love pei si so much there is such a dight over of hes good or bad he loves qingzhuo so much and tries so hard but she doesn't return his feeling recent things got really bad but maybe it will help reveal feelings
