Description

From Forbidden Garden:
Manami, a highschool girl, joined the class party where there was fun, laughter, and drinking. She had the best night of her life until the next morning, when she woke up to find that she wasn't alone. She quickly looks over to see that lying next to her is her "friend" Motoyoshi Hajime. Did they actually do anything together?!! To the inexperienced Manami, her world is turned up-side down as she tries to figure out how to deal with this situation...

Also didn't like this one. The love interest had a very unnatural personality I didn't like it and the whole scheme revolved around taking advantage of someone.
Miss Pageant's Anego
Better but not great
Secret Incompetent Swordman
Best one out of the bunch but sub par.

Man, this collection cracked me up quite a bit! I think my favorite story is the second but it has been hard to elect one! Very good pace, good art and stories that are not all stupidly clichéd. I am so glad I read this. I'm going to look for more of this mangaka's work

Better than expected

I'm not saying Cherries Fight was revelatory or anything, but it certainly surpassed my expectations. Yeah, it has some shoujo tropes, but the delivery is sweet, and the characters are pretty likable. If you're looking for some better than usual shoujo one-shots, this is a good pick.

Chapter four..

Holy crap, that chapter four. The way the characters are drawn is so TOTALLY adorable, one of the best one-shots I've read as far as that goes. The rest are also great but the last chapter is so darn lighthearted and enjoyable, if anything read that one <3..

I totally thought it was going to be some super cliched must-facepalm type of manga. It wasn't really. I found it cute, funny, and lighthearted.

A great pick-me-up shoujo without the needless drama and tons of misunderstandings.

First Story--the summary makes it sound like another typical story line(more commonly seen in yaoi, actually) but the characters were very likable. Really. The guy wasn't some stuck-up jerk and the girl wasn't over dramatizing something that could be solved by simply talking.

Second Story-- The title might turn most people off but the story is quite surprisingly good.
Ayaka is popular because of her looks but she finds it a burden with many guys being total a**holes. She meets a kohei, Hayato, who is deceptively adorable because of his looks. Pleasant surprises follow in humor filled pages.(It's not helping that the song "Open Arms" is playing in the background because a friend's watching some old rom-com. Loved this and the song)

Third Story-- ex-delinquents people. I had heart-eyes when I saw the premise. Then I turned the pages not expecting anything impressive(since I've read Oresama Teacher, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, etc.) then I found myself loving this. Seriously, I'm loving this collection more and more each chapter(ch.2's still the best for me). Awesome heroine. I can't stress how aweeeesome she and it[manga] is enough!

It's more about friendship and growth than romance but the romance kicks in at the later half of the chapter(freaking cute). I loved that the girl is waay stronger than the guy but doesn't emasculate him or anything.

Fourth Story-- another hilarious story with a badass heroine and the cute(a bit weird, in a good way) hero. There are moments of true LOL(with the addition of "oh my gaaawd! Ahahaha"). The full spread in this one made me change my mind. This is the best...with the second story coming in close(super close) second for me.

Not a cliche shoujo~

Okay, well it's got it's cliches that all shoujo seem to have but not overwhelmingly.
It's more realistic than 95% of shoujo. It's not predictable at all, which is a plus. It's cute and the artwork is good as well. It's more... contemporary? I guess would be the best way to describe it.
My favorite oneshot was The Fastidious Princess and the 'Mature' Prince.
Anyway, the guys were kinda K-pop-ish? did anyone else think that? They're cute/pretty boys but not bishies.

All 4 stories were easy going. They were enough for me to read through without getting pissed at any of the characters. The stories were mildy cliche so I didnt have to worry about being drowned in the obvious factors as much...and considering the fact that they are oneshots, thats a pretty decent level of the cliches. It seems atleast like the mangaka tried, much unlike other annoying oneshots I've read where everything is so painfully obvious that the mangaka might as well have just finished the story on the cover page.

My personal favorites are Stories 2 and 3.

This was such a great read.
The characters are cute, especially the second story's characters.
I loved not having to expect what's coming next, it's unpredictable.
Although it IS unpredictable, it does have some shoujo cliche plots. However, it has a lot more realisticness and is not fast paced.
The art is just awesome. I definitely am looking forward to reading all the other released mangas by this author.
Plot is just great. it's really interesting & it is a lighthearted and cute manga.
My favorite out of all is the second story.
It's really cute, so I DEFINITELY recommend this to everyone who likes shoujo mangas.

Both stories are fun and heartwarming. I especially liked the second one, with the girl that is looking for her perfect prince. If only I could find one as fun for myself...

Wow, I read the first 2 chapters in 2009, it wasn't completly translated back then, and I finally read it completly tonight in 2016. Also, in the mean time I actually got that "fun" boyfriend and he loves to constantly poke fun of me. So be carreful what you wish, you might get it 😉 .
