This was indeed a good read. And I didn't anticipate the outcome at all, that was so refreshing! The author was leaving clues here and there all the time but it never crossed my mind and I'm usually good with this. It shows how well thought and planned this story is. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Actual title "Poor decisions and the suffering that result".

I'm glad you all liked it but my Justice Sensitivity caused by my ADHD didn't allow me to enjoy it very much.
The first half of the story was kinda boring, the mythology/story of the gods was crappy and the gods were pretty stupid, no smarter than your average "mud person".
The second half was pretty infuriating because of all the bad decisions but mostly because of the antagonist and the NTR (or NTR-like) elements.
So the whole thing was basically just a story about stupid gods, bad decisions and suffering, only after the end do we somehow get any happiness which of course is gone in a flash, hardly worth sitting through all that for such little payoff.
Also the story could have ended better and more satisfactorily and more believably if "the greatest female warrior" could actually kill the antagonist when he was distracted with his back to her instead of missing like an incompetent fool, what makes it worse is the the antagonists people are not close combat fighters, neither do they do any physical labor, so he should not have had any dogging skills. He also didn't suffer anywhere near enough to satisfy my anger.
Some of the writing was very well thought out and I didn't see some of the things coming until they were explained at the end, but how could I care about that after being pissed off so much ?
It also didn't help that I was not expecting this kind of story based on that description and cover.
Anyway, not recommended if you have ADHD, the rest of you should probably give it a shot.

Found this by chance and not disappointed. MC is well-written as well as the other characters in general. The art is pretty good and the story is on a solid foundation.

Time of Review: Chapter 32 (Manta)
Favorite Aspect: Dramatic, Intense, and full of anticipation for Season 2.
The Golden Forest is a bit of a melodramatic treat. From the get go I was very drawn to Reniae's self sufficiency and rock hard emotional shell. I'm also a sucker for the gruff boy type that Kun appears to be at first. Their short but powerful meeting had me wrapped around the stories little finger. However, the beginning is just a "taste" of what the story is as it chooses to flash back around chapter 15.
Then the story goes back to "when it all began" and things got... weird. It includes some tough, almost overly edgy and dramatic themes which many might not enjoy. Themes of
Quite a few terrible things befell the protagonist in her past. The story is well-written and interesting, if a bit dramatic. My final rating will weight heavily on how the webcomic concludes, as we have only just finished season 1! Will Reniae finally get her happy ending? Boy do I hope so. 🙁
Chapter 57 Update:
The Golden Forest continues to blow my expectations out of the water, and just gets better by the chapter. It's tugging at my heartstrings with every new tragedy and triumph, and I never want to miss an update. My rating was a 7 before, and is a 9 now! I just can't get enough of it.

This is so underrated, the entire story and plot is very unique and the FL is strong enough and capable to take care of herself. I think the world building and fantasy elements are really well written. If you’re wondering if you should read it or not, I highly recommend you should.
