Description

I liked the story for about 4/5 of it. I like that it kept focus on Kakana. Her backstory, trauma, and the mystery of it- gradually revealed over many, many chapters, kept me reading. Not only her past, but her present story was interesting. Her capabilities as a herbalist and her entry into the academy was fun to read.

I'll be frank, I started not liking Kakana about... 1/8(?) before the end. If you binge-read this, then maybe her reactions make sense; but this series has multiple seasons and I took breaks.

And although there is a harem tag and I know having multiple love interests and the MC never choosing anyone in the end can be annoying, I was still taken by surprise by the profuse amount of physical romance toward the end. Like... it went from being mostly focused in the action/adventure plot to 100% in romance. Well, it is the end/close to the end. And it is actually polyamorous relationship! The side stories touched on the difficulties a little, but well. It's still very early in their relationship. !<

Very, very interesting story. I like the demons and action plotline. For the most part, it was very good. If I disregard how the ending went and how it was executed, I probably would've rated this an 8.5 or 9 out of 10. It is a very long story and each chapter is pretty long.

One of the better reverse harems I've read. The FL is not a stuttering mess and pretty competent in her own way.

While I was reading the first season I didn't realise how much the story had grown on me. Reverse Harem's often have a hard time with creating an emotional impact in me as the male characters just sort of blend together - and I won't lie: This one is no exception.

But the rest of the story is so intriguing! I love the world-building in this so much! Author just hits the right marks with the animal-human hybrids, the Alchemy, the Magic and all the Historical Drama! I am so invested and I find myself looking if the second season has finally started at least once per weak.

Sure, the FL is just so dayum overpowered I am not constantly on the edge of my seat but overall it's just very lovable to read. And the art is gorgeous and unique!
