Description

Due to his scary face, Shougo has been alone since entering university. But unexpected events lead him to become close with Hina, from the same university. Good as a time filler if you have nothing else

The art was decent but the story wasn't anything remarkable, with an ending and a minor plot twist you can see coming miles away. I liked the beginning, with Shougo introduced as shy and isolated because of his mean face, and him and Hinata getting close, but then it swerves into angsty rival and "pulling away from my loved one" territory, with Shougo and Hinata losing all individuality in favor of becoming Generic Yaoi Couple #5635. I bet the mangaka forgot about Shougo's mean face along the way, because it's irrelevant after one scene in the first chapter.

One thing I liked was that Shougo became friends with Harumi and actually talked to him. But that's not enough to compensate for the bullshit explanation to Hinata's "allergy to love" — a clumsy attempt at injecting some depth into something that's about as deep as a puddle. Yes, it's that barren of a story.

Not quite what I was expecting. I heard good things about this manga on the fujoshi subreddit and decided to give it a try.

The backstory for Hina was too ridiculous to take seriously. I thought with his crazy condition (allergic to affection) the author would utilize this unique situation for comedy. They do not. Hinata even has a depressing backstory that I just couldn't buy into. There is a decent amount of character development for a 4 person cast in a one shot manga, but it isn't doing it for me.

The dialogue can be downright cringey. The characters don't behave in ways that feel realistic at all. I detest the main character. He is a cry baby that seems like a parody of bl.

Plenty of cliches are woven into this story and they don't blend nicely. Like a character thinking to themselves accidentally speaking their thoughts out loud. We've all seen it, and I've even seen it done well, in a way that feels believable (such as in For your love). That just isn't the case here.

Maybe I'm just jaded, but this is a manga I would never pick up again. I did enjoy some parts, and I finished it. I intend to give Sakura sensei another chance sometime, but this has left a sour taste in my mouth. The art is good? Thats the only compliment I can offer.

The setting is as BL-Shoujoish as one can expect with love allergies, but I still love this. It’s one of those soothing cute ones that you read after you have had a tiring day and need some love – from anywhere – to sustain your belief that you too will one day find love and happiness. Though, it’s kind of sad to see that there isn’t much work done in regards to developing the side characters.

the art was nice. the story was ok. charas likable. Hinas allergy was weird and kinda not too important later,,kinda made me think that the mangaka should have chosen a diff way to go about that..... i thought that the main two charas changed much from the beginning, where Hina was really cool and Shougo a bit scary. they turned to a coward and a crybaby somehow..... not that i hated the change but it felt a bit weird. AND i wanted an extra with Harumi and Akio as a couple, but nothing was about them,, maybe they werent meant to be together hmm.....
i wondered halfway why it was in the yaoi genre and not shounen ai, but i got my answer in the manga,, in the smutty censored scenes~ the h-parts were funny and not bad at all x))
