Description

Every night at 10, Dong-gyun locks himself up in his room, grabs a box of tissues, and watches a live cam boy show hosted by Alex, a BJ (broadcast jockey). Timid Dong-gyun admires not only Alex’s ripped body, but his candor in sharing his sexual experiences with viewers. One night, Dong-gyun downs too many drinks at a school networking event and passes out. When he wakes up, he’s in bed staring up at a shirtless hunk. A hunk who looks an awful lot like...Alex.

This had way more plot than I expected! But also, way more cringe. I felt so much second hand embarrassment in some parts that I had to pause a few times when I was reading. Anyway, I wasn't too sure about this one, especially at the beginning, but I started really getting into this after they set everything up. I really enjoyed the chapters in the 40s to 50s.

It was so cute when Jiwon started chasing ackkk!

This is my first time making a review here but I just want to say that this series was amazing. This is actually the first BL webtoon I've ever read since I went on BL hiatus.

Anyway, the premise was quite interesting and although the start was quite rapey I pushed through because of the art. It got quite cheesy at parts, and there isn't much conflict along the way, so it becomes a lighter read for me after the rapey parts. One thing I want to point out though was that the side couple stuck more to me than the main, but maybe that's just because of my preference for older characters. On the other hand, the wild adventures of the main couple were.. quite wild! Haha. I wish there was more of the side couple, but still a good read anyways.

I'm actually crying so much, the last chapter was so emotional! This manhwa was so so so good!!!! Absolute cinnamon rolls, all of them! I wish there was more!!

Alex was such a cool and interesting asshole character (reminded me of the Cheese in the Trap type of love interest) but turned into cheesy and boring by the end (I guess good for Dong Gyun). Still enjoyed it till the very end. I loved how smut reflected character and relationship progression.

sex - 8 two points off for the rapey angry sex
art - 10 this is my first manhwa... i like that it has negative spaces... it would have been more perfect if not censored

Smut, with Feelings

Ok let me preface by saying -- the art is gorgeous, the characters are drawn expressively, and Alex is eyegasmic.

While there is copious amounts of smut, it isn't defined by it. The story and characters underpinning it is strong enough. You know it's good writing when you start skipping all the raunchy stuff to get to conversations/platonic interactions between the main characters. And they deliver. While at first, both main characters appear quite cookie-cutter, as you read further on, they develop a subtle depth to them that makes it so rewarding to read. You see DG the "pushover" displaying his kindness and strength of character. You see Alex the callous, duplicitous BJ giving way to a softer core. It's so wonderful following them through their journeys to understand each other and to leave their pasts and their crutches behind, to find strength to depend on each other and the strength to stand on their own.

Very enjoyable read, an emotional rollercoaster.

I've been reading this on and off from the start, and now that it's over, I have to say that it was objectively bad. The story started off ok I guess, then got super rapey, but I stuck with it because I was invested. But...as soon as they got together, it got really cheesy. It wasn't well written and never felt genuine. The art was the main selling point. There are some really excellent webtoons out there these days, and this just wasn't one of them.

I kept noticing this manwha here and there and did not really give it a shot for a while due to the BJ in the title. BJ apparently means broadcasting jockey instead of the usual. Haha. Well anyways, i expected a senseless smut driven pile of pages. Yes it is smutty at times, but what is more important and what I always go for in anything i read:

It has feelings! The author is very good at making you root for her characters and at making you feel for them.

So yeah, this is VERY entertaining in my eyes. You should give it a try.
