Urgh

I expected much from this author but this was disappointing.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
This protagonist seems dumber than the rest and that's the only reason why she died. If I was her I would have burned down the lady's house from the first time I found out where she lives. I was kind of rooting for the other guy so maybe I feel a little bitter about that but then later all the focus got shifted to the daughter and then I lost most of my sympathy for Rinko.

The author does her signature thing by letting the antagonist go over and over again. It would have been such a better manga if there was another antagonist. Everything was so unrealistic from how a crazy teacher lady got so rich and powerful to the fact that there wasn't any other shape shifter apart from the panthers mentioned at all. And I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering why two halfbloods would equal a pureblood, not to mention one that controls other panthers and the atmosphere.

The premise was interesting at first, but...

The female MC Rinko was a pretty awful person.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
She gets drugged and raped by the guy who has powers like her, but then begins to sympathize with him. All the while hurting the one person who truly loved her. Then the main guy, Shin had to take care of their rape baby after both of them "died". I feel bad for Shin. Rinko was a shitty woman.

And then when it's all said and done, Shin sacrificed himself for the rape baby, Mai. I will say though the second half isn't as bad as the first. Mai was a much more enjoyable MC than her awful fucking mother, Rinko.

Old but worth-reading series

This series is pretty old. The story cannot escape from the shojo cliche of Chie Shinohara. But it still a worth-reading one. People who love Red river should give a try.

Boring and tedious

I like Chie Shinohara's drawing style, and that is the only reason why I stick with this manga. I skimmed and flipped through pages all the time though because there are so many cliche moments. It also frustrate me so much that the only person who seems to know how to use gun here is the antagonist. Why do the protagonists never thought of using guns so they don't have to be vulnerably shot literally every ten pages? There was a moment when the antagonist could finally be shot, the dad coughed and gave the moment away. What is the odd?!? So frustrating!

This is really tedious. Just like with Red River the same old villain keeps doing the same old villainous things and the hero/heroine let her keep getting away with it every single chapter. This time the heroine clearly has the power to do away with her in one swipe but she just keeps crying and running away. This is boring.
