What this story tells us? That sexual harassment is seduction, that there’s no punishment for standing and watching a child’s life being destroyed, that ‘no’ is actually ‘yes’, that self-respect and self-love are bullshit that no one needs. That’s the oldest tale, wrapped into a homophobic package instead of misogynistic one (it’s still misogynistic though). It praises men for ‘taking control’ with violence and pressure instead of treating others respect, it fails to actually tell a story about child abuse, it fails to show is what's right and what’s wrong by rewarding/punishing characters accordingly, instead of anger and justice it shows useless fights/bullying and worthless excuses/justifications.
Characters are pathetic, seemingly living without having any sort of conscience or even just a rational thought, obsessed kid who does nothing at all and protagonist who has a brain that is probably the size of an apple seed. Watching him was painfully embarassing.
And it actually sells. The message is clear and audience is happy, and it probably says more about those who read this that it says about author of this pathetic excuse of a manhwa.
Bullying, sexual harassment/abuse, rape culture, suicide, neglectful teachers and parents, police and school administration who won’t do shit - all those are big problems in South Korea (and Japan as well). Author did a great job of fucking this all up and making it look like a big joke. But 99% of yaoi/BL authors are like this and hopefully that’s authors last ‘masterpiece’. Good riddance. Next.
