Description
After flunking the civil service exam, Kim Youngsoo spends his days working part-time at a pork cutlet restaurant, struggling to make ends meet. He plans to give the exam another shot down the line, but for now, his small moments of happiness in his mundane life come from treating the cute guy who drops by the restaurant to pork cutlets every now and again. The seme has a trash personality. He's not good to people. He's easily angered and thinks it is OK to mess with people emotionally. He's easily dislikable.
However...
The uke...weirds me out. In a bad way. Mouth breathing, lustful drooling, always sniffling, taking from others without being appreciative, dumb in both EQ and IQ, no self-awareness of how he is perceived. His inconsistent behavior toward seme is VERY confusing for the seme. I really have trouble empathizing with him. Other folks may see him as innocent and a potential victim who should be protected, but I don't. The seme is a victim of him.
And ya know what? Seme is trash, but he never forced uke to do something non-consensual. He had plenty of opportunity to do so, which in a lot of BL would result in non-con scenarios, but he never did.
When seme said "it's getting hard to accommodate you" I agreed wholeheartedly.
Art is weird. The characters have odd proportions and are unattractive. It does improve later, but only in that the lines are cleaner and smoother.
Plot is so forcefully contrived I couldn't believe it. And it fizzles out soon enough anyway.
