Happier Ending?

Even though the series wasn't finished, the characters still see each other in the future based on the first chapter and related series. They seem to need each other more than they need anyone else. My guess is that they would eventually stay together....just taking their time about it, working on the issues that are keeping them apart...we just won't know the details.

Seems the series was dropped...

It was such a good read, but too bad it got dropped. Still you can read it, just don't get too attached. The manga deals with the pangs of desire, especially when young, fast forward and it shows the destruction caused by those same desires. This is a romance dealing with dark feelings.

disappointed for sure

This one had potential, but was sadly disappointing. Much of the disappointment is due to the fact that it was never finished. There's no point to reading something you will never see the end of. I totally agree with the other poster who suggested reading Color. Color is good, and is about the same characters. Why Color was done when this one was abandoned is a good question we will never know the answer to. Forget this one and just read Color.

Much less than I expected, to tell the truth.
I liked how it began, but that they already start off having sex is kind of a turn down (although it's in the future), since I was expecting it to be almost unreachable, and that Yutaka would suffer a lot before he could finally get to Tohno (as it did happen).

Since I don't like Eiki Eiki's art style to begin with, it didn't even help. Sex wasn't hot enough to save the plot.

Nothing much to say, except that it could have at least been finished, 'cause now even though I didn't like it much, I'm curious...

PS: I read Color a long time ago, and I re-read it to understand this manga a little bit more.

Okay, as people have said, this story was never finished (not even a doujinshi!) which his a great shame and very frustrating. I don't know why June even bother publishing it. BUT I recommend you read "Color" and you'll get a least a sidelight into Tohno & Yutaka's relationship.

Very sad

this is definitely a tragic love story (spoiler) the book starts off with Tohno taking home a girl to pass the time while he spends his days waiting for Yutaka. normally i hate books where one of the character sleeps around, but theres something about this couple that pulls me in. Tohno obviously love Yutaka and he idles his days waiting for him, almost as if he is lost without him and Yutaka, is a man with demons pulling at his back, he has some serious traumas in his life that stop him from being with Tohno, the first chapter is about them in the future and then the rest of the book is about how they meet. when the book finishing you are left with a feeling of wondering what will happen to them in the future.

great but no sequel in sight

I'll start with a warning- this manga ends with a cliffhanger and it doesn't look like there's going to be a sequel. The afterwards mentions a sequel might be coming in 2002 but obviously that didn't happen and it's 2008 already!

The actual story is really great if you love dark obsessive love like in Ai no Kusabi or Bronze/Zetsuai. This story is not romantic at all so if that's what you're looking for you might want to stay away from this title. The artwork is decent, nothing amazing. I so wish a sequel would be published... I need to know what happened "that day" and what's up with the Tohno's scar.

darkness in a slightly different way

I was surprised by how much I liked this since I sort of gambled on it initially. The darkness in this is dealt with a little differently than most yaoi manga I've read, which pass possessiveness off as normal or something that the character doesn't even struggle with much. Given the character designs, somehow the roles seemed skewed to what I would have expected. Yutaka's frustration and obsession is so consuming and intriguing to watch as it plays out, while Tohno is surprisingly a sweeter/cuter guy than I expected. I've come to love this manga.
