First of all I will not give a rate to this manga because there is a 80% possibility that I will not like this manga because of its lack of storyline as people are saying. Although after just going throug the first 5 pages i want to comment on the artwork. This artwork is WEIRD! Its not bad but its weird. Its like the one that drew the manga is inexperienced but the same time it has something different from other manga. Its not ugly.. its actually too cool looking if you ask me.. and yeah like a poster mentioned this looks a bit like One Piece even if I read only 5 pages. Actually the second kid I see on the beggining reminds me a bit the swordman from One Piece.
I never judge something without even reading it except ofcourse if its genre doesn;t interest me much. But here are a ton of people saying openly it has no storyline but they like it. I was expecting some lame drawing when I started it but after seeing this artwork from 90% of probably not reading more than 2 volumes it went to 80%. Actually this manga gained a 10%+ after me looked 5 pages. Although I still doubt I will like it since I hate most anime without storyline except if they are ecchi-comedy >.>

Ok already after some minutes I burn to make more comments. I finished the first chapter. Indeed the artwork seems bad and their dialogues seem so swallow. Like a little newbie in manga world tried to make something to check his skills. But definatelly I like it. Still the 80% possibility of me stoping it is there. A poster here said that if your open minded then that will help you like the manga.. So true. If my favourite game which is actually connected to my name was not one of the games I hated the most once upon a time then I would not even read the 5th page cause of my ummm closed mind? >>

There might not be any more comments until Volume 12. Yeap. I read the first 2 Volumes and I can say.. the storyline it great! There is no storyline? What are you talking about? Its about 3 mercenary boys and thats that. The story of mercenaries is to get paid and protect or fight for someone. Thats the storyline here. I can't understand why everyone keeps mentioning that there is a bad storyline. The drawing are not the best but they are clear and they do not look that bad. I suggest it easily. One of the best. Might not come in par with Berserk but I doubt I will find someone that will come in par with it because its ok another level. For now I am giving this manga a 9 because it kept me stuck with it and made me like it. I am not giving it a 10 yet cause I do not have any special feelings for it like other manga. We shall see.

Not much time passed and here is another update. There will probably be at least another 1 in the new future.. like tomorow. I am just posting ecause I stopped at Volume 9 and I am looking for the rest of the volumes up to 12.
Trully this manga is not as bad as people seem to say in some posts. It doesn't lack storyline first of all. It just feels its slow. Its a story about a mercenary boy and how he weirdly connected with some other different from him mercenaries and they fight endless battles.
The artwork is not that good but it doesn't seem like its bad. Its more or less how I felt when I first saw a cell shaded, or however is called, game on ps2. I did not like it much because it was different. It looked bad at first but as time passed it was very good.
All three heroes look cool each on their own ways and this definatelly reminds me One piece Manga. I did not even realize how fast time passed and I am amazed I am not tired after reading 9 volumes in just one day. I am going to read more and probably will end up reading all 12 today. I will comment this again after Volume 12 is over. ^.^

Seems I picked up a nice time to read Ares.. Won;pt explain why to avoid spoilers. The manga seems great. Every character in them is great too. The storyline seems average but I bet it will get better and better as the manga continues. I feel like a fool that I thought I would not like this amazing manga.
I want to comment something but it will be a spoiler for the ones that did not read at least up to volume 12.
I want to comment on Michael because it seems some people did not like him and I think I found why. In Volume 11 or something he killed the boy that used the spear (or at least thats how it seemed donno if the creator revives him later). I did not like it because as always when someone that has a name and e have seen him background dies in anime and manga we get that strange feeling. Its not like the rest of the men that are nameless or just introduced that they can;t stand out since we do not know them. Even if I did not like what he did I asked myself this "Would it be ok to not kill him?" and ofcourse the answer that I gave myself loud and clear was "NO"! Its easy to see the creator imagines Michael as someone that has no mercy. If he would let him spare him then it would ruin his whole image. On the other hand knowing that such feelings come to readers he used that event as oil and threw it on the fire "cruelty of Michael" reminding us he is not just a good guy that saves everyone and tags along his friends fighting with them. He is a cruel beast that seems to have a lot on his shoulders. The end of Volume 12 adds more to him being cruel. I am actually looking forth for a battle with him and either Ares or Baroona .
Well 14 Volumes to go for the translation to be over. I hope it gets better and better. I will forget about this manga like I did with Berserk since Volume 30 and wait for some volumes to gather and read the continuation. I easily suggest it for the funs of the genre. All I have to say is that it can;t compare with Berzerk because Berserk is more brutal and a lot more splattersih. And also focusses on one character. Well thats all. Next edit will probably take a lot time to appear. I say that because even if KMT needed 1 year for the first 9 volumes it took the team 1and half years for the other 4. Maybe it was that rumor about Ares getting canceled? Who know. Time will say.
