I loved this manga♡♡♡
I don't know which part is cliche(since many have said this is a cliche shoujo manga. I guess I've read a much worse cliche manga that I didn't notice any here?) but for me, the story is very realistic and is told well. I can understand people saying that Chitose cries a lot but I find it understandable. I'm one of those people who HATES the lead girl who are weak-willed and who cries easily, but I didn't hate Chitose at all.
The author could be just doing it because Itsuki-kun is just a sadist and loves to see Chitose cry xD For me, she's just that emotional and true to herself that she can now easily show her true feelings to others(that has been hidden and bottled up for a long time) since she had always put her mask on.
She can only show these expressions to the people she trusts like Itsuki-kun and her friends.
I didn't find her annoying at all; it's more like her character is understandable.
Itsuki-kun though, I find his character unique. He says harsh words and says sorry the next; he did this like many times now with Chitose. Poor girl xD But what I love from this two is that they don't prolong their problem(like your typical shoujo manga; they love the drama so they let the characters not talk about it until the problem grew bigger).
If ever the two of them don't know how to resolve it, their friends(mostly Onii-san/Itsuki-sensei/Yui-san is the one who'd noticed it first and help them fix the problem) would be there to help and support them.
Many people can relate about having a mask or facade on just to please or not be hated by people; and having to choose a university and course that you really loved to go and take, and that you are passionate enough to strive for it. I also learned a lot about drawing here as well since I also took somewhat an art course which made me relate a little. I wanted to read more manga like this T^T
Currently in chap 26. I would definitely wait for the update.
