I've heard of Futakoi and Futakoi Alternative before, but this is my first real experience with the franchise. It's definitely... different. I'm not one for panty shots and female harems (Well, I AM a girl, after all), but as a comedy, this was pretty solid. There were a few spots that were laugh-out-loud funny, even for a shoujo-loving girl like myself. The characters were decent and the plot was interesting... Although I do feel it could've been fleshed out a bit better. It just seemed too random and confusing in spots, due to the shortness of the manga and trying to cram all of the anime events into one volume. I have a feeling the story would be a lot more meaningful to someone who's actually seen the anime... although I have to admit that I'm not interested enough in the series to check it out, myself. The manga was cute, though... and funny in spots. Had a lot of squid.

Great story plots.
This story begins and develops well. (not much character development tho.)
The anime follows closely to this manga. (not much different)
A pity its only a volume long.

Overall, this story is touching and is recommended to read.
