The first one-shot.....was so wonderful,so full of emotions and deep and cute and it ended well, the main chara was finally loved, i was so happy for him *teary eyes*
The second one-shot was.......SO CRAP.....glad it was short.....
The third one-shot.....was good ^^ but too short, i wanted to know if they became a couple or what grrr!! Anyway it was nice and i liked the pervy way of thinking of the main chara xD
The forth story.....it started kinda cruel but it somehow ended well, i would be happier if it was longer but i still liked it~

The manga is mature and real-life-like, it's not cute or fluffy. Some readers may have a hard time trying to enjoy those stories. Or think of them as a boring, lazy paced one shots. I think it's great ^^
Anyway they're touching, bitter-sweet stories about life, love and hardships of being gay - the heavy stuff like being rejected by society, misery and hope that should've lost long time ago, but still smoulder somewhere deep in one's heart. There's strong plot and the background for the characters, some of them are likeable, some are twisted and you'll hate them from the bottom of your heart. There's drama, angst, misery and confusion but also long awaited happy moments. I wouldn't call it a comedy but it's filled with dark humour. The art is unique, rough, a little awkward but I totally adore it and it suits the story so damn good...
The mangaka left some space for a reader's reflections, some things were left unspoken, some were shown as a metaphor - like the two fishes laying on the table in the 1st story... I like to read between the lines, that's why I love Tomoko's works so much. Stroboscope left me with the same strong feelings as Bara no Hitomi wa Bakudan . It's really an amazing, memorable yaoi.
If you like dark angsty stuff you'll enjoy it as much as I did! just give it a try.

The 1st story was the most serious and the most real life-like. I felt so sorry for Kazu... he's been yearning for a human touch, for a mere glance for so long. He denied his right to be happy, lost his hope and ended up as a pushover, but still somehow... he found a strength to fight for his happiness.
Oh and there's a rape in the last story.If you like dark angsty stuff you'll enjoy it as much as I did! just give it a try.
