I'm always bitching about how Hayakawa Nojiko never draws sex scenes even tho she can make STEAMY scenes of her characters making out. I feel like this is my comeuppance because this title is drawn a little more explicitly than her other titles.....but the subject matter is 🙁 (((((((((((
I guess I'm biased since Hayakawa Nojiko is one of my favorite mangakas of all time. I'm super intrigued by the story despite being verrrryyyyyy put off by the blatant insinuation of child sexual abuse and child rape. This seems to me like a psychological story, however, and not a tale of romance. I'm a little glad that she went a different route than her usual feel-good stories because it shows versatility, even if I'm sad and want a nice happy romance in this story LOL.
Despite everything, I'm really excited to see where the story goes. An innocent school friend gets thrown into the mix and the little kid is getting more and more possessive of his "brother". It can only end with someone escaping or.....very badly. It doesn't matter, give me the goods Hayakawa-sensei
edit: with all the beauty Hayakawa Nojiko can muster with her manga, she is making me as uncomfortable as possible with the content. After reading chapter 7, I feel like I need to drink some holy water. This manga is extremely successful in creating a sense of beautiful dread while showing these boys in extremely vulnerable positions and it doesn't make it seem romantic or enticing.....just......push the NO NO NO button over and over again.
This manga is definitely punishment for me wanting smut from Nojiko-sensei lol. I swear I'll never complain again.
