Description
Tatsuyuki is the reluctant young master of a Yakuza group. He would rather spend his days playing around than learning the ropes of his family's dubious business. When his caretaker sends him off to a branch office in Fukuoka, the recently heartbroken Tatsuyuki finds himself in a weirder situation than he would have ever expected.

Man, this is surprisingly excellent for something I only clicked on because it has my favorite tropes. There's a really honest feel to the characters, and a good balance of backstory to present plot. Super hot, too.

As a huge Tatsuyuki and Nozomi's fan, I really love to see them together, but my heart is bleeding each time I remember what Rogi did to Tatsuyuki, and I truly hate Rogi for that, disgusting manipulative asshole! And this is why this series is so difficult to handle for me...
<Spoiler> Rogi blackmailed Tatsuyuki that if he disagrees, he will do so with Nozomi! This is not consent, this is a damn blackmail, and Tatsuyuki was raped constantly for a week, terrible😭 </spoiler>
But I'm glad that at least at the end my Tatsuyuki and Nozomi are happy together❤️
I hate Rogi from bottom of my heart😒

Deals with some dark shit on all sides. Both of our two heroes deserved better in their childhoods, and while their 'reunion' isn't the greatest as doing it with a drunk person is never right, the two manage to find a way to come back together and deal with their trauma together.

That being said - screw Rogi. Why did he get multiple books? He is disgusting.

Because this piece had one of the most mature ukes I've seen compared to most mangas, I'll ignore the rape scenes (though the second one is pretty nasty). It is worth reading it for just seeing how Tatsuyuki copes with his issues one by one and also is considerate to his partner.
The seme was less impressive, he did have a very traumatic past, but what made him annoying was his constant self doubt, especially appearance wise. This is pretty ridiculous considering how tall he is and how much he works out.
The art is beautiful and has a style that is unique to this mangaka, I really enjoyed it visually. Also the smut scenes were very hot, I liked the panels that showed the small gestures, caresses, eye reactions, the details that pretty much spoke the characters emotions. Definitely worth a read 🙂
But less rape would have definitely been appreciated

I’d enjoy it. I do agree that the plot probably needed more details but compared to jackass I felt that story could have been flesh down a bit or shorten to get the point of the story, keep in mind this is only a one shot and not every author can Make a reader feel satisfied with one volume. There were a bit of graphic scene it’s the sex but it was a beautiful art style, but as this mangaka writing is, I enjoy it.

Everchanging opinion...

After reading Minori no Te, I immediately started this one. And... well, it's hard for me to tell something about it, as I'm not sure myself whether I liked it or not really. My review will be very spoilery, because I can't review this manga in any other way. For people who don't want spoilers, I can tell right now if you like well-drawn smut with likable enough mains, go for it. But read tags first and if you're against any of these, seriously, don't touch it. For your own good.

As for spoilers.
It started badly. I mean, I'm not a fan of

non-con, and for me, that's what the first chapter was. And then, blackmail. No, no, no. That's not how you start a relationship! That's not how you make somebody fall for you! That's sick!
Then, as manga progressed, I developed some liking to characters relationship. I mean, it was kinda cute, I would say. But then... we meet Rogi. And oh my, I hate him.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
He is one the most unlikable characters ever for me. I hated everything about him. Yes, you can say, he was good for Reika. But then again - he was constantly raping Tatsuyuki, and he was looking him up in his house. With Reika kind of knowing about this! For me, that's not being a good parent. And don't even get me started on what and why he was doing with Tatsuyuki...

But then with the last chapters of manga... I kinda... liked it again? I just have to say, for me, the last two chapters and the extra are worth at least half of point I gave this manga. The other half is for Tatsuyuki because I just liked him. And I just feel bad for him. He's a good person, I would say.

The first chapters took all my attention as I could see the potential of a sweet and heart-warming relationship, I loved how the seme conveyed his love through those impressive lines, and he was the character that made me read until the end. However, there were so many unreasonable painful incidents that I couldn’t bring myself to enjoy it despite the beautiful love of those two and the expected happy ending. And the painful effect was so strong on me that I don’t think I’ll ever forgive that disgusting old man (who even got a spin-off).

However, I was satisfied by the fact that **SPOILER ALERT** after those uncompelling nauseating actions that old man did to the uke, both of them took revenge of him, otherwise it would feel like the uke consented. But still, why did that have to happen with the uke, I am not convinced by the so-called “your father’s replacement to lure him” thing at all.

I think this is too much for me to ever re-read.

Normally Scarlet Beriko hits it out of the park with characters, but in this series she falls kinda short. Tatsuyuki is a typical yakuza dork, but I really don't like the way Nozomi was characterized. He was just a genki creep who was wayyyyy too into Tatsuyuki, especially towards the beginning. And then the plot made no sense for the characters with so little background info, especially the Tatsuyuki being Rogi's prisoner plot! I was like wtf?! I know Jealousy exists, but it would make more sense if we had all that background info before the kidnapping, which is just bad storytelling. It just seemed way too weird to have some comedy slice-of-life characters thrown into such a dark, hardcore plot.

Honestly, despite being a fucking weird ass creep, Rogi was my favorite character. He was the most round, different, and most mysterious! The other characters were severely lacking so I latched onto him. I'll be reading the Jealousy series after this, which is all about him, so I'm glad. He really piqued my interest in the final extra, when he tells his daughter that she is the only one who loves him.

Honestly this series just looks like sensei thought of Rogi's character first and threw together this stupid plot to set up for his introduction.
