Description

(Dropped, 80/110.) (no spoilers, those are stuff you know from the beginning)

I was really hoping they'll eventually grow into a better relationship but it doesn't seem to be the case. At first I was just very frustrated with how much the ML was a Jerk, but I guess I can understand it. The FL however is STUPID AS HELL. ML KNEW she was bought in to give him an heir in exchange for money, so why did FL not tell him the clause of the contract?! The more you keep reading, the more she has nonsense reasoning and weird mood swings. I started feeling bad for the ML, honestly. Like... how is him thinking you're just greedy better than explaining you need the money to give your siblings education as an orphan??? The mother being such a bitch is also unjustified, she feels like just a device to add drama that didn't need to be here in the first place. The protags also don't have much chemistry, but they felt like a pair that COULD have some. But that was ruined by FL being stupid.

This is your typical run-of-the-mill rofan. It doesn’t demand too many brain cells, and honestly, it felt decent at first—especially since I read the novel before diving into the manhwa adaptation. The art was fine, nothing groundbreaking, but it was serviceable enough.

The real issue, though, lies with the plot. It’s frustratingly dumb, particularly with the female lead’s questionable decision-making skills. Like, what was she even thinking half the time? It’s as if the story went out of its way to make her choices nonsensical, it doesn't make any sense to me.

And don’t even get me started on how rushed it felt in certain parts. It all circles back to the same tired tropes at the end: damsel-in-distress, a shining hero who swoops in to save the day, and a happy ending that’s supposed to make it all worth it. Honestly, it’s the kind of rofan that screams "been there, done that"—entertaining enough to kill time but entirely forgettable once the final chapter is closed, tho I’ll admit, the plot did have some unusual elements that set it apart—at least initially. For one, the male lead isn’t aware of the contract or the truth behind his “supposed” death in the original novel. That alone gives it a bit of intrigue and keeps it from falling completely into the cliché trap.

Sure, it wasn’t a complete disaster. That being said, it’s not entirely bad. The art is fine, and the setup had potential—it just didn’t stick the landing. If you’re looking for a rofan cliché stories with some mild twists and can overlook the frustrating bits, it might be worth a read.

I wish author had just dropped this

After reading 85 ch I can't anymore. Somebody just make it stop and unalive everybody. The whole plot derails so badly I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually all children instead of adults. Their IQ, especially that of the FL is just below average. I can't with her mood swings. You think she has borderline at some point. (Not talking bad ab mental illnesses!!!!)

For everybody thinking it has potential. Give it a go, but don't try to power it through for as long as I did. It does NOT get better. Mainly because of lack of communication.

The villains are VERY ANNOYING

I really wish FL would give the villains MANY slaps in the face. So many. T^T The waiting for the faceslapping is killing me. But the relationship between ML and FL is super sweet! ML is kinda tsuntsun lol. FL is at turns strong and weak. Sometimes her mood swings make me dizzy, they're so fast. =3=

Since FL did a lot of the wooing at the beginning of the manhwa, I now need ML to do the wooing. Especially since it's his mom that's being a major downer. (I'm telling, she needs some actual sense knocked into her head!)
