Seriously, how can can anyone expect a simple 3 volume series like Nanaco Robin to be on par with something as long as LC, where there was plenty of time and space for development? It's unreasonable and unfair to the author who's doing her best to produce a simple, refreshing read to feel good about. Has she achieved that? Yes indeed!
I love the characters. Nako is extremely strong and courageous, not to mention utterly hilarious with her antics. Although it backfires at times, she does her best to support the people she cares about. A very likable and fun heroine.
Then there's Konatsu, our hero who's so adorably Tsundere. Although he doesn't admit it, he truly cares for Nako and his friends. He's sincere and a good person. Very lovable and swoon-worthy.
Add in a vibrant supporting cast, crazy situations, a nice amount of character development and hilarious comedy and you have Nanaco Robin! A good story. Not as good as LC due to the few number of volumes but I believe it had the potential had it gone on longer. My few peeves with this is the ending and Konatsu. The ending was really rushed and kind of axed in my opinion. We needed more Nakonatsu lovey-doveyness and a few questions answered. Another thing which bothered me was the fact that Konatsu, never once called Nako by her name. I mean not even her last name! It was always "you"!
Other than that, it's a good refreshing read. Don't go into it expecting LC levels of awesome because it will disappoint you. It's a lovely, cute and delightful read otherwise. Well-done for a short manga.
