Description

Chiwoo’s got issues. Upon returning to school after the “incident” last year, he vows to keep to himself and stay out of trouble until graduation. I only decided to comment on this story because of other previous comments.
It's made clear that this is a "getting over trauma" story and that trauma was most definitely rape. But let's pretend it wasn't like some other commenters seem to think.
In that case it's still a story about a person who was being come onto by their friend and who was clearly uncomfortable with it. And that so called friend snapped that their love wasnt being reciprocated and ended up beating the MC so bad that he was bleeding from the mouth, was stabbed in the back substantially, and held down while he bled out into a pool of his own blood.
He was severely hospitalized.
Yet some commenters think that a simple apology afterwards is enough to make up for that?
Not to mention the emotional abuse of driving away any and all other potential friends or love interests and then gaslighting afterwards CONSISTENTLY.
Even if rape wasn't involved, Jihyun did MORE than enough to govern being completely cut off afterwards. It's terrifying to see any comments that could possibly side with him whatsoever.
Meanwhile the whole point of Ki's character is that he is similar in what he says but he is kind and actually treats MC with love. He doesn't push his feelings. He accepts when the MC wants space. he's happy when the MC makes friends and talks with others. He's genuinely concerned about the MCs well being.

It was semi infuriating that the MC took so long to do what he does, but the point of the story is that he eventually grows.
And for those wondering, it definitely IS NOT a love triangle story. I can't stand those types of stories and wishy washy mains but some other comments had me hold hope for this and so I read it. It is VERY clear that it is not a triangle so no worries there if you're like me and can't stand them.

I'm concerned regarding the fact that some readers thought the fight was just a fight.

It was rape, barely touched since the main story is sfw, but even the author clarified that Chiwoo cannot forgive Jihyun because of what he did. Chiwoo was portraited as a rape victim since the start, that's why he was scared of Jihyun, threw up after Jihyun kissed him and was scared to see Jihyun in Kyujin's actions. During the entire story Chiwoo saw Jihyun as his abusser. But at the same extent he was longing for his best friend.

I think this story is not a love triangle but a story about Chiwoo and his way to dealt with his trauma. Sure, Kyujin being pushy was not a very good way to do it but he showed Chiwoo that he was different, that he can control himself.

I really liked it, it was painful and realistic and I'm happy that it seems that Chiwoo overcome his trauma and now he is being loved.

The final side story "what if",

was sad because it shows what would happen if Jihyun didn't rape Chiwoo in the past. Their future was bright.

What the fk i just read,poor Ji😭 bad Chi🤬

This is an unfair story,I really felt like crying for Ji😭😭😭, everyone even his beloved one done him wrong,and Chi is an asshole, he played with Ji feelings and made one fight out of drunken status and despaired like it's something so big deal...his acting towards Ji was so uncalled for and he never considered Ji feelings and never tried to face him straight forward like Ji done multiple time,and Ji gave him alot of space and time to thing about it,but chi was just an asshole
While when Ky done same steps to make him fall for him he didn't get upset or felt angry,why Its accepted from new friend but not from the old friend?
Thought it about him being straight or gay ,but that wasn't the case,and Ji apologized multiple time and he tried his best to please him and to get thing straight but....poor Ji😭
Couldn't bring myself to complete it cause felt so frustrated from the asshole Chi...poor Ji
And the ending was sooooo unfair ...Ji didn't done something in the beginning that deserve all that cold and abusive treatment from Chi....wow so frustrated...Chi is a bad, annoying, evil and selfish heroine in a bad story ,felt like the writer just wanted to hook up one with another despite the truth behind emotion, And made the other one bad no Matter what
Korean writer just write casual without deep thinking about the depth emotion they created with poor reason to breakup...while Japanese writer got the reason to break up (rape or bullying) but instead they made them get together, we need some balance here between the 2 kind of writers hahaha

Too drawn out

This story felt a lot longer than it needed to be. Too much brooding and silence between short bursts of action. I found it difficult to understand any of the characters. I get that it was tense on purpose because of the plot, but the tension made it difficult to get into the pace of the story.

This was a relatively long one (45 chapters), but a complete Korean comic, and officially translated in English as well. I’ve read it in two sittings and it immediately became one of my favorite BL comics ever read.

While I have no particular opinion on the art, the compositions of the panels was absolutely great. Because of it’s format (continuous scrolling, being it a webcomic) the author really exploiting the surprise of seeing who has said that particular piece of dialogue! The composition was absolutely lovely and I felt like it was really constructed that way for a reason.

The story is (by the author’s own words) Chiwoo’s growing up story, and not a love triangle, and that definitely surprised me.

Does this manga subvert expectations? Yes! (related to aggressively pursuing of the love interest), it ends up being a mature story that takes some of the tropes of manga and completely expose them to the real world.

I couldn't get into this because of the art, the characters don't look like high school students at all, more like small headed and permanently angry bodybuilders.

Maybe I'll give this another try but for now it's unfinished.
