Aitsu no Daihomei... This manga is so fun, though the word 'fun' doesn't seem enough. It's hilarious and entertaining and refreshing. This is what comedy really is.
As for the art, it's detailed, clean, and clear. You can figure every character's emotion out easily. I also like the fact that this isn't some kind of manga where girls aren't allowed or doesn't even exist. For me, BL with an adequate existences of women adds the spices of the plot. Good thing Tanaka - sensei doesn't seem to have a problem having them in a story, unlike some mangaka.
The plot and the characters, though, seemed to be clichéd for 'the ugly, unpopular guy, beautiful, handsome prince and batallion of cheeky fangirls', have been developed into something sensible and interesting one. It doesn't actually revolves on the relationship of the two, but also on how they deal with the things bothering inside them - the constant bullying, the way people look at them, be it as 'monkey-looking' or the 'popular' one, and understanding their own feelings towards the other. What's so disturbing for me is that the discrimation about Yoshida and his other 'ugly' friends. It's too much that I ended up somewhat irritated for Yoshida since he doesn't do anything, although he can't actually anything about his face. But he's so manly and gentleman at some point, that I can't help it but pity him. That must be horrible, so I thought. The sadistic part of Satou as well, it's too much but somehow, it can made Yoshido more likeable. And it's also understandable because of what he has been through. But Yoshida is still the stronger one and that's his good points. But for all those mean girls, I wanna beat them to pulp. But since it's still ongoing I want Yoshida saying 'I may be ugly but I'm not ashamed of myself!' or something like that.
But it is still a long way to go. 😀
