Gets better in season 2. Though wow it’s painful to see her fumble her way into clearly obvious schemes in season 1.
As for the ending, it felt a little rushed. Honestly, all it needed was an epilogue to round out what happened to all the main characters but it’s left hanging like a loose thread. Otherwise, it did actually turn out to be an interesting story.
Plots, resenting countries, hidden truths that lead to more hatred. Spirits, wishes and spirit seals. Another story of human greed and resentment and the ones who break the mould.

They never fully explain why she’s so against marrying? She also had like no plan to get out of the marriage except commit a crime so she couldn’t become crown Princess and yet acts so shocked and outraged when sentenced to prison as a result
She’s so gullible! She got used in a plot and afterwards the instigator literally says to her to focus less of the immediate problem and more of how her actions will affect the greater picture so she isn’t taken advantage of so much.
Then immediately afterwards, instead of thinking “hey maybe I should take what I learnt about seeing the bigger picture and think more about WHY the emperor wants the crown prince’s tears of blessing, she goes straight back to: let’s steal the tears to get out of the marriage”
Not to mention her unwavering and unwarranted trust in the second prince who suggesting stealing the tears in the first place! She knows the ML doesn’t use the tears for a reason, and knows he doesn’t get along with the 2nd prince. Did she never ask herself why?!!
