What is it with Manhua and unrealistically garbage characters?
It's beyond ridiculous how the characters in this Manhua act and think, and not in an entertaining way. It's just annoying. I mean, let's look at the MC's dad for a moment. It doesn't seem like he hates his daughter or anything, so what the hell is with his non-reaction to his daughter nearly being raped?
Then there's the male lead, who has arrived at the conclusion that the MC drugged him one time and treats her like crap because of it, and we're supposed to get on board with him?
And what the hell is with everyone publicly discussing the topic of her losing her purity? I mean, come on. This is set in the modern day. A woman walks in claiming someone tried to rape her and all anyone can do is talk about how she may now be 'damaged goods'? Are we supposed to believe nobody would be rushing to help her or call the police?
Are we also supposed to believe the bad guys then walk in, get accused of murdering some other woman, and just immediately confess to it? I mean, if it's important to the plot that the MC exposes their crimes, at least take the time to have her expose them in a way that makes sense.
With the setting and time period being what it is, all this stuff that's happening to the MC just feels rushed and exaggerated. The way things are going between her and the male lead, too, I don't even see her making him properly repent for his treatment of her.
