But when his 5-year-old cousin Yuzuyu comes to live with his family after her mother's sudden disappearance, Kippei is put in charge of taking care of her. As Kippei gets to know Yuzuyu and starts to understand how she feels, he also begins to realize that all girls were like Yuzuyu once.

I liked the story. I enjoyed reading it. I couldn't even stop... I do think, though, that the ending was quick. It was fairly predictable in some parts. But the way, the showed it was amazing. It was great reading. So much drama, though.

Simply the most adorable thing

One thing which comes to mind when you think Aishiteruze Baby is cute. I've endlessly "awww..."-ed over Yuzuyu (she's just soooo adorable!!) and Keppei & Yuzuyu's relationship the former being simply the cutest thing I've ever seen. Kokoro's and Keppei relationship is also nice but doesn't stand out as much as KxY...the latter is probably the whole point of the manga.
The length was good, nothing was repetitive 'cause, well, the manga itself was pretty short and it had all the elements of a good story - comedy, drama romance and...Yuzuyu-chaaaaann!! And it's always funny to watch Kokoro & Yuzu get jealous over Keppei. 😀
There were few things to detest about it - I felt the ending to be a bit too rushed and well..if they'd have thrown in a few more pages of older characters it'd be a great tie up for me. And Shou-chan moving away (c'mon..he was cute too! And you gotta admire the strength in the kid for not ratting out his mom. Not to mention his relationship with Yuzu was too kawaii!)...but well, he returns in the end so that's fine...there could be more of him!
Overall a good read. Recommended to all.

Such a heartwarming story. Everything is pretty perfect here, except for the Kokoro/Keppei relationship. The fight, longing stare, make-up kiss sequence between them got old fast. I'm glad Keppei wasn't the major player the beginning made him out to be, because I would've felt so bad for Kokoro. The strength she had at the start melted into this kind of dependence on Keppei. I guess this is a good thing though because it shows some character development in both. Did Keppei suddenly become good through caring for Yuzuyu? Maybe under the tough exterior, Kokoro was always frail?

You can't help but love the relationship Keppei and Yuzuyu have. It's really cute and ties the whole story in place. The ending leaves you feeling pretty complete although I wish it had shown more of Kokoro and Keppei after Yuzuyu had grown up. The art is very well done, beautiful really, and it helps to keep the reader interested. The series is also a nice length at 7 volumes and has comedy, drama and romance thrown in at just the right places. Overall a 10.

Biggest plus to me in this series was the art. Gorgeous, gorgeous art. Overall in the story, it just seemed like a kind of average shoujo to me...with a less sweet romantic moments. I didn't really like the ending either...but that might be personal taste. Every time I read the ending I feel like I want to cry, which is something I personally dislike a LOT, but I know others might like that kind of thing.

This is my most favourite manga out thre. Is a very touching story and even makes you cry. Usually manga doesn't get to me like that but this one did. One of the best shoujo's out there.

The characters are realistic and the story is deep and funny. Ireally like the atmosphere in that manga and I'm a big fan of Kippei, Kokoro, Motoki and Satsuki!!! It's a recommend for ALL shojo-manga readers. It's one of my absolutly favourite mangas!

this was too cute!!! i really enjoyed it. it kind of seemed like a fresh idea (but a lot of common shojo themes were used). it was refreshing for the story not to be based on a sexual relationship, don't get me wrong i'm a sucker for a good romance, but variation is good. the animes ok too, even though the animation was horrible (one person's opinion). i kind of wish that they'd follow yuzuyu's story after she grew up (but thats just my shojo craving coming to rise)
