I have a lot of opinions on this manga so let's start with the one that I hate the most; the "challenges" that the main couple encounters.

Almost every chapter's payoff concludes to nothing, which made the "challenges" also accumulates to nothing. For example in chapter 2 a new character got introduced; Shinohara, and what's his purpose in the story? Absolutely nothing. The stake for chapter 2 was that there was something going on in Eiji's house which prevents Oriya to visit his house. That could lead to some great characterizations and character arc for Eiji where he can overcome whatever hurdle that is, but no, the payoff was nothing. The following chapters also follows the same format. Some kind of "challenge" being introduced to the main characters where they beat it effortlessly and ends with some more lovey-dovey stuff that accumulates to NOTHING.

The trope of bland protagonist x popular love interest has been overdone so many times, I'm not sure why Eiji even fell in love with Oriya. It was all because he said something unexpected? Or is it because he did something remotely nice? "You are different from the others" is the core of Eiji's love. And I think that's fine on its own but it's not when the premise of Eiji's undying and obsessive love is just because Oriya is "different". I really don't like the non-con introduced in the story so early, and the reason why Oriya even reciprocated Eiji's love is beyond me. I believe both of them deserved someone better, even if I did slightly grew attached to them.

Also, I want to talk about the stake for chapter 1, which is of course, the jealous side-kick there to ruin the protagonist's life by being as bland and annoying as possible which accumulates to the male lead saving the protagonist and reprimanding the side-kick, wow what a surprise, I totally didn't see that coming. I'm just kind of sad that the side-kick didn't even get a reason why he was behaving like that and why he's in love with Eiji in the first place. (I don't remember his name, that's how forgettable he is.)

The main characters was more of a "It's so bad that it's good". I'm not even sure why I finished the whole thing.

There was one thing that saved my opinion towards the manga and didn't give it a 3 stars rating or lower. Which is a one-shot bonus chapter from chapter 7. That's what saved my opinion. A spinoff not even relating to the main character; and THAT'S what saved me. It was almost unbelievable.

The characters was surprisingly fresh and I relate to the protagonist even if their story was as bland as the main one. I liked how it cuts to the point without any unnecessary bumps.

Overall, not a good manga, barely decent yet It was sort of enjoyable if you're more into bland stories and cliches. 5/10.

The story is as uninspiring and unoriginal as it gets when it comes to BL high school romance, but what truly pushed this manga deep into the realm of mediocrity is its terribly dreary execution and the fact that the mangaka managed to amplify the magnitude of every single cliche in the story to become as cheesy and uninteresting as possible. She did try to incorporate humour into it but the whole thing is still so joyless and dull to read, it's amazing I actually managed to finish everything. The only merit I liked is the chibi drawings and that's it, nothing else.

Not perfect, but pretty cute!!!
They're very open with their relationship and everyone (except Eiji's obvious fans) pretty much support their relationship. Within obvious reasons. Open relationship like this is fun! Remind Me of Aitsu no Daihonmei.
Thr characters is fun too! So really, pretty likable story! It's really Romance manga!
