Description

Luna wakes up one day to realize that she has been reborn into a novel as the childhood friend of the male lead, Fersen. To make matters worse, the guy is a clueless idiot! Luna wants to end their friendship to escape being bullied by the other ladies, but Fersen won't leave her alone no matter what she does. Things only get more complicated when she becomes entangled with the novel's villain, who hates Fersen even more than she does. Will Luna manage to get away from this dumb male lead?

🫤 Nothing interesting so far. Overpowered, ‘flawless’ ML. Supposedly independent (and overconfident) FL always ultimately saved by ML. Struggled to connect to story/characters.

Think I’m going to DNF.

Cliché mean girl villains
FL outcasted/ looked down upon.
A string of unfortunate events to FL’s family
Reincarnated as antagonist
Characters act quite immature
FL always talks circles around villains trope
“Can I really escape the plot?”
Protagonists have NO life/goal outside romance
FL always ultimately saved by ML
Poorly developed, cliche ML.
—> Always either confident or protective.
—> No flaws. Always with words of affirmation
—> Considered ruthless but is actually caring
—> Successful, violent to protect FL, good fighter

Needed more time/scenes to build up why the FL disliked the ML to the extent that she did. Because without it, it just seems like she hates him for little reason while actively insulting someone who considers her his best friend.

For those that need it, I’d give this story some content warnings for:

Bullying
Brainwashing(?)
Obsessive behavior
Physical and verbal abuse
Kidnapping
Poverty (light, she’s still a baron)
Can’t escape the plot (it can be hopeless/depressing for some people?)
And I believe a small amount of blood

(As of Chapter 55) Most of the plot relives around the FLs journey to up her status and make money , it starts really abruptly and doesn’t spend much or any time explaining the events prior to the story. . . But!!! She’s snagged the the ML who pretty much instantly likes her and there’s not much to their romance other than the usual fake relationship tropes of “oh we have to end this-but I don’t want to!!”. Also her dad and found family have a wholesome vibe about them. She does end up having a good female friendship as well and it’s nice to see. The plot really is just honed in on this girl working hard to fix her shtuff, the male lead just wants to be by her side and help her.

The FL doesn’t really reciprocate the MLs interest and is more focused on repairing her reputation, managing her businesses, and straightening out the original MC who is a complete sociopath. I’m not sure if it will really hold my attention, it’s very… superficial, idk the characters are very flat. Im not sure how to explain but there’s not a crazy amount of depth in the story, it’s not bad it’s just. Fine? Like the art is okay, and there’s also a very memeable picture in one of the chapters and it just threw me. Idk I might come back, I hope you enjoy reading it and leave a review if you read further than I did.
