*Tao Niang, based on an alleged Chinese urban myth about women who were only fed peaches and then sold as slaves. As peaches in Chinese culture represent immortality or longevity, the urban myth conveys these women were bought for either blood, flesh, or pleasure. In this context, 桃娘 is not to be confused with one of its modern Japanese usages (momo musume), where it's used as a term for the poster girls of peaches.
