This is my second time trying to read this story but I just can’t make it past chapter 21.

I like that the main character chose to be friends with Ophelia and not become a villain.

But I hate that she has this super negative self image and instead of having conversations with people, just assumes the worst about them based on what happened in the game.

At times this seems to be a little slow and the female lead can be so constantly self critical that it starts to drag, but there are glimmers of a depth to the story and the emotions that just keeps me going. Currently this series is on chapter 28 and where it goes from here will say a lot more about the quality and how the story will be handled. So, to be seen! I have hope that it will be good!

I didn't have any expectations for this but I am pleasantly surprised with the relationship between Emilia, the MC, and her best friend Ophelia. It's complex, deep, and most importantly it is always there, even when Ophelia dies. Emilia's love for Ophelia IS the core of the story, and actually, I don't even know who the ML is. Couldn't guess for the life of me. A lot of the scenes with the MLs are very annoying; at best they slow down the pace, and at worst they just take up my time. At this point, an attempt at a reverse harem doesn't suit the story at all, but generally I like where this is going.

I love how they handle grief and also FL is a breath of fresh air. I also love the childhood crush to lovers approach. Also it’s impossible to get 2nd lead syndrome because all the other MLs pale in comparison to the ML

The FL character is a different approach to cold.
