Description
Kawamura Kazuya had dreamt of being a pilot when he was young. Thus when he heard that there's an aviation school five hours from where he stayed, Kawamura enrolled without giving much thought. He was placed in the same room with two other room mates. One of them, Itou, dropped out when he couldn't stand the tough life. This left Kawamura with Yoshitake, a tall, quiet and non-responsive guy.

"I'm returning something I borrowed ..."

Oh how I love this gentle manga ... as well as all Yamada Sensei's works. Fortunately, she has a long bibliography. She's like the Charles Dickens of yaoi in her ability to make the small quest for love and justice come alive. These are solid, real characters you can care about ... even the side characters have enough presence to make them indispensable to the story. Yamada's pacing, sense of humor, as well as sense of place, are equaled by few other mangaka. Sex, while explicit enough to definitely qualify as 'yaoi', never seems rushed or gratuitous.

Another great manga by Yamada Yugi! ^_^ Kawamura is such a hard-headed uke, and Yoshitake is such a gorgeous, cool seme. And Morishita's a great character too, if not a bit of a slut. ><;; Anyways, the story was funny, cute, and even a bit sad (Yoshitake and his dad!). I loved the resolution of things though - I think Kawamura made a very good decision, and I loved how realistically the adult work world was portrayed. Many of peoples' dreams must be given up in life, but that doesn't mean they can't be perfectly happy with how things end up. The only thing I wonder about is how easily Kawamura became physically intimate with Yoshitake when he was always fairly sure he was straight. But it was obvious he always cared about Yoshitake, so I guess it becomes a rather minor detail. ^_^ Their relationship was really cute. I wish there had been more of it!

Perhaps the sex might have been a little rushed but ultimately, the best about this title were the characters and their relations, and the interesting details about airplanes and the flight school.

I guess some people were pissed off at the lack of sex? Tsk... tsk.

Why the heck there are people who label this 1 and 2?!
If you're NOT into this genre, better do not vote.
This one is absolutely one of the best coming from this genre! Quite a simple story, but Nice story-telling and beautiful line drawing make this one of the wonderful title I have ever read, coming from Yamada sensei. Yamada sensei's drawing quite improved too. It is so funny and romantic.A must read if you're a fans af yaoi-drama!!

It was really fun!
The art wasn't really what I usually got for, but it grows on you.
I liked the story. Quite the unique setting.
And the characters were good. Also very funny.
There were 2 nice side characters as well, that were quite main.
I would have rather seen more side characters, since it looked like their own little world....

The whole thing where they were separeted for long isn't my usual thing either, but the mangaka made it a fun read.

It's my first completed story by YAMADA Yugi btw. XD.

I loved this story. Like, head over heels fell in love with it. And the author. I tried to resist. I didn't like the pacing, the art, etc. of hers at first, but now I'm done for.

Her stories are solid, her characters are interesting and endearing, and the emotion conveyed is amazing. I'm spoiled now. I can't read the smutty, plotless, flat character stories anymore.

But read this. It's really, REALLY good.

Oh i loved this. I almost very nearly skipped this because i've read other manga about aviation and they always put me to sleep, but i figured i'd give it a try (you never know right?) and its good that i did biggrin Highly enjoyable, sweet, loveable and hilarious, but then many of this mangaka's works share those qualities, and after realising who the author was i was all the more determined to read it. I laughed hysterically at times, i also felt alot of heart throb moments bigrazz great manga, very very good.

Love it and love her!

I have to say I love Yamada Yugi's works. I always love the realism presented in her works and the subtle nuances of emotions (from the characters) that just makes it perfect. If you go just on dialogue or just on appearance then you are going to hate her stuff. but if you take everything on the whole then you will better understand the feelings of the characters and the story that they (individually) are trying to say.
even till today, although I have read this manga 20 times, I still find certain things that gives the characters more depth. This is true for almost all of Yamada Yugi's works and I think that is why I like it so much; each time I read the same work (by her) I feel like I'm experiencing/gaining something new.

I picked up this manga on a slow day, planning on lifting my hatred of cliche yaoi for a while and trying one out. What I got was much better. Yamada's art style may look like a worse-drawn version of that mass-produced sparkly manrape stuff clogging up the manga shelves, but she never relies on those stereotypes. This story, with all its sexual ambiguity, feels uniquely realistic. The guys act like real guys, even if they are shoehorned into the uke and seme boxes. In the end, I felt less like I had read an escapist sex fantasy and more like I had read a realistic human drama. For the yaoi genre, that's a characteristic of a masterpiece.
