Description
An Nuo, a lower rank power user, made an escape plan from an underground research institute, but he encountered Jing Ye, a high rank power user who could cancel out his powers. He tried to avoid Jing Ye at all costs but their fates seemed to be intertwined. Jing Ye destroyed all of his plans, stripped him of all his choices and even corrupted his rationality. With Jing Ye being so secretive and suspicious, will An Nuo choose to believe in him? Or will An Nuo choose freedom, and escape from that hellish place instead?

The initial plot was deeply interesting and absolutely squandered in the setup for the romantic plotline, switching the focus to interpersonal drama without the proper buildup so it falls flat. The art is unremarkable.

this certainly takes the cake for cutest implementation of the "why do I feel this way around only him" trope

I feel this is the first manhua written by this author. The story is simple and follows very linear and cliche route. The story is not well thought out so things progress as the story goes on and thus some parts have plot holes but overall it is enjoyable.
This is a very original SFF plot, with interesting characters and dynamics. The ending feels a bit rushed and I would have love to read more but it's been my favorite read of the year.
