Description

Otou (a.k.a Hotaru from Koi o Suru nara Kono Machi de)
works as a host in a host club in the country. Since his high-school days he has had a crush on his senpai Okawa, so he's still continuing to chase after him, but his sempai treats Otou as nothing more than a pest. Still Otou wants to be near his senpai, and because he loves him there's no helping it.... Even if his senpai treats him badly, what will be the outcome of Otou's unrequited love!?

Cute chibi art but awful stories

Such a waste of the adorable art. Each of both couples in this manga consists of a precious angel AND a sleazy douchebag. I just want to take Hiroto and Tamaki far, far away from their god awful 'lovers' and wrap them in cotton wool and never allow anyone to hurt them again, unlike what their boyfriends did to them both. I've lost count of how many times this author has opted for a [pitiful puppy x despicable jerk] pairing where the asshole never changes his behaviour and the imbalance in their relationship remains the same throughout the whole story. There's virtually zero development for both main characters. It's just.. so frustrating to see. Unless she's incapable of writing anything different then.. I guess I'll just stay here being bitter by myself.

The art is really good but it doesn't make a story. There's a very promising beginning but in the middle the story takes a wrong path. I mean it's not up to my taste anymore - Okawa's personality and actions are different from what I expected, I mean he's not tsundere, he really is a jerk. I like Otou - the main character, he's nice and such and he's totally aware of his bad situation. He's angry and unhappy because his love is unrequited and because senpai treats him roughly and without any care or respect. He even took actions to change the situation (and I like that) but in the end, in the crucial moment he chickened out and went back to his submissive self. It pissed me off. He wasted all his effort and in the end because he wasn't consistent he didn't gain anything. Well, they had sex but senpai/seme wasn't very convincing as a boyfriend, it's more like that lazy ass Okawa started dating Otou out of convenience and deep inside he doesn't care that much about him. At least there's that kind of feeling in the end of the story.

I wonder if it should be this way - instead of having fun you're starting to hate one of the two main characters. Anyway you can kill some time with this work, but honestly - it's lacking of something.

somehow it felt like there should have been something more about how Hiroto and senpai changed their relationship, i mean it felt a bit like senpai changed too fast, thats how it felt to me,......and i thought that senpai would be the seme, coz he was so hot and hiroto so cute,.....so i would like if there would be a continuation.
and i happy to see more of the Tamaki and Akira couple~ those cuties~
damn, i want to see more of these hosts!!!~~

i dont agree - so far at least - the way im reading it senpai wasn't in tune with either of their feelings and was just being a jerk about it. the unwavering loyalty of Hotaru was believable after he said that it had become unpleasant and aggressive.

It seems decent, but I haven't read the whole thing. The relationship seems a bit unhealthy, but then most relationships are to some degree. The seme was a little toxic, and I think it was supposed to come off as sexy, but it just felt flat and mean. The uke is really like a dog, but it's more endearing than frustrating (though truth be told, it's both.)
