This poll was inspired by MewMan. I was pondering over whether to include choices like "totally full" and "totally empty" but decided not to. Simple is good. But why would it be halfway? What happened to just a quarter? Or perhaps all gone? Why would it be all gone... you were greedy and drank it all? Or you were giving and you let someone who was thirsty have it all? Or it's all full because you like hoarding...

You can discuss the philosophy here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=21115

You can submit poll ideas here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Will there be a time where human's aren't at the top of the food chain?
Choices:
It already happened! Remember Aliens, Predators, StarCraft, and Starship Troopers? - votes: 2309 (18.5%)
2012 is drawing near... - votes: 1636 (13.1%)
No! We will always be at the top! - votes: 1897 (15.2%)
Were we ever at the top? - votes: 6666 (53.3%)
There were 12508 total votes.
The poll ended: September 18th 2010

Now why were we never at the top? Perhaps with the human wars and such, we never could be at the top. Always destroying ourselves... Do we deserve the top at all? Or perhaps the majority believes in some kind of higher existence.

Edit: Didn't notice this until someone pointed it out in the comments, but 6666 people think that humans were never at the top. Pure coincidence

Who's glass is this? My glass is bigger, and it's completely full.

Depends on whether the glass started completely full or completely empty.

Started full -> half empty.
Started empty -> half full.

With all the saggy pants, flat brimmed hats, confederate flags, swastika waving, and all around stupidity humanity has to offer, we don't own top spot. Especially with how often we get eaten by 'lesser' species.
Anyway, I don't think I'll vote this time. I'm a realist. It doesn't matter if the glass is half full or empty. YOU HAVE HALF A GLASS.

Yeah, I tried that. I guess the question refers to a mathematically perfect half glass summoned from the ether that has neither been filled or emptied.
But, it doesn't matter, because it's HALF A GLASS.

Well germs no matter what we do to them they still survive, living on/of us. Germs are the highest beings deserve the top.

The problem was with the question itself... there is no such thing as a food chain... 'tis a food web my friend that we are just a member within, which is eaten by lions and tigers and bears..... and sharks.... can never forget the sharks.

I'm the majority that believes in a higher existence - nature.

For all the science out there, "the glass is twice as big as it needs to be."

Half Full or half empty of what?
I'd see the glass full of water and air. If it is not a glass in the vacuum. But then it'd be full of water and nothing.
I suppose it is a optimistic-pessimistic question then.
