I'm looking for a series that's flat out unpredictable, it can be any genre excluding yaoi and hentai. Lately I've had an issue with any series I try to get into being difficult to be addicted to because I can predict a lot of what is going to happen every chapter. I really enjoyed katekyo Hitman reborn, as an example of something that I could not predict every little thing in. As far series that are overly predictable....inuyasha is about as predictable as they come.

I think Pandora Hearts is the most unpredictable manga I've ever read. Give it some time, though, it begins to get interesting around chapter 20.

I enjoyed imortal rain. The art was nice the story was great and it really was enjoyable plus the action scenes are really good.

Sorry no clickable link I'm to lay xp.

Hopefully the story isn't to predictable.

smartypiglet- you do [m]whatever the manga's name is[/m]

Haha my ideas of unpredictable may be a little different than yours, but here we go:

Nowhere Boy: for unique plot twists and overall idea.
Doubutsu no Kuni: I personally haven't any idea where this is going; the idea is unconventional.
Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoiyo!! Masaru-san: just ridiculous.

Sorry, I don't usually contest recommendations, but I'm going to have to disagree I'm afraid. I think pandora hearts is pretty predictable. I mean if you've read or seen Alice in Wonderland it's automatically fairly predictable. Plus I gave it a decent chance, I read up to chapter 40 and I was mostly ahead of the storyline. I mean don't get me wrong, It definately has it's unpredictable moments but I wouldn't say its the most unpredictable out there.

The most mouth wateringly unpredictable manga I've read to date is Shin Angyo Onshi, it totally bends typical manga storylines and cliches. Makes you think 'yeah yeah its that, its clearly that now get on with it' and then BAM totally changes completly XD.

Kamisama no lutori and Shingeki no kyojin are fairly unpredictable. Violinist of hamelin schelkunchik and The good witch of the west do a good job of keeping things hidden about either the world or the characters. Kisswood was good, certain things were foreseeable but as a whole it didn't leave me impacient. Bokura no kiseki is very good for mystery and suspense, even if you can predict it, the way it's portrayed makes you double guess yourself multiple times and you think you have it sussed out but they'll have thrown in a red herring XD. Historie is clever, don't think I've ever predicted anything in historie that I can remember as such.

I also really liked Immortal Rain. It's not the most unpredictable story, but not the most predictable either.

Vampire Juujikai I had absolutely no idea how this was going to play out. I thought I had an idea of what was going to happen, or what had happened, and then I got smacked in the face.

Conductor - There aren't too many chapters of this one out yet, but I can already tell it's going to have some twists. I was really sad when I ran out of chapters.

Annarasumanara -A more realistic story. I really liked it and it kept me wondering until the very end.

Trinity Blood - I really liked this one. There are some predictable elements, but there were many things that I didn't see coming too. Strong heroines also make this one a plus in my book. smile

These ones are a bit more on the dark side.

A Fairytale for the Demon Lord - I found it to be quite unpredictable and different.

Superior Day -I was questioning myself alot for this one. Is he a killer? Is he not? What is that poor guy in the next door apartment going to do?

God Child It's episodic but has an overall plot centered around the protagonist Cain. Very thought-provoking, it was really fun to try to piece together what was going to happen. Be sure to read the prequel too if you do decide to read this one.

I hope you find something that you like smile

I think Aiki, Gurren Lagann and Shaman King are pretty unpredictable.

So far, I think Billy Bat has thrown me for a loop more than once, as has Cesare. Oh, and Pluto really surprised me with the direction it took near the end.

Are You Alice? is one of the best and most confusing series I have ever had the pleasure to read. Definitely falls under unpredictable.

And... Zetsuen no Tempest does a really good job keeping me on the edge of my seat, though I don't know if I would necessarily label it as unpredictable...

I don't know if you could be ok with a novel, but if you can predict Hakomari you're probably a genius. It is the most unpredictable story ever conceived imho.

Torikago no Tsugai at least looks pretty unpredictable to me.

Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan: Totteoki no Uso some parts are predictable others not so. If you can read Japanese try the novel from this.

Come Spring Well the thing here is that I know where this should be going but indeed it is going in a completely different direction. So either this series is very loooong and takes a turn later or it is indeed going somewhere else. Expect no sudden plot twists here, this is a sloooow series.
