Description
From Tsuzuku Jinsei o...: There is a legend that tells of how the world was almost destroyed thousands of years ago by the vampire queen after she unleashed her latent powers. Despite their efforts, the humans were unable to defeat her, and thus resorted to sealing her away until the time came that they would be powerful enough to destroy the seal and kill her. However, the humans are not the only ones after the seal. Having cast aside his kingdom and betraying his own race and the dhampirs (half-vampires), the vampire king is persistantly searching, even to this day, for where his queen has been sealed away so he may break the seal and free her before the humans do. Fearing that once the king and queen are reunited, they shall continue to destroy the world together, the humans and dhampirs hunt the king, using any method possible.

Manga is not good at all at da beginning, but afta a couple of a chapters its like amazing. When the secrets got revealed, I mean honestly the way the past was revealed, the main characterz actions, all dat, amazing. But after that, it again got bad. Basically beginning k, middle amazing, end not gud at all. the high rating is cus the middle is amazingly awesome.

| I just had to stop reading it 3/4s of the way... by malk on October 25th, 2009, 6:17pm |

I got tired of the entire manga almost being a description of how strong the main character is, without any real violence to back it up. It's mysteries wrapped in mysteries wrapped in mysteries....and it seems like the "air" of complexity....was so strained that it felt like complexity for the sake of complexity...descriptions of characters will take most the time in this manga....you got almost no real action in it even though they're quite generous in the amount of pages telling how strong they'd be if they DID fight.

| sigh.... not that good by raptorfalcon on October 18th, 2009, 12:31pm |

Hmm.. this manga is just 1 big long tragedy. There is no good or bad... just regrets and sadness and the actions guided by those feelings. Very frustrating and depressing manga in my personal opinion. If you like vampires... you might want to pass on this one, if you like comedy PASS on this one. I finished this manga long ago and if memory serves me right, not 1 single individual ends up happy here.

| This series certainly gives the phrase Spoiler (highlight to view) " I'll even fly to the moon " a whole new meaning. I first thought this wasn't worth reading because the fight scenes seemed too shoujo-ish for my taste (A handsome vampire? Now where did I hear that before?). In fact, I even dropped it right off the bat. Wandering and searching for your lost beloved, it might seem pretty cool at first but would soon lost its novelty after one or two volumes. But I was wrong. I picked this up again a few months later. And like they say, the plot thickens. You'll have to read more than 3 volumes to get a feel of what this manga is. I could almost feel the burden of the author, who is trying their best to paint a picture, a magnificent one. The execution might not be perfect, some elements might seem unbelievable, and just as in most tragedy series, some characters do get over-sentimental. But there's a great story to be told here. A story about a fallen vampire.

The quality of this manga fluctuates, in terms of its story portrayal and story plot.
The art is at best average. Sometimes it is not proportional. I can say a lot more but I don't bother - not worth my time. It is okay at best and lower than average at the worst. I have put this on my "read this when bored and growing moldy" list.

| Really good story =) by legendlyte on April 12th, 2009, 7:26pm |

This is one of the few mangas I would bother trying to convince others to read. The story is very unique and interesting, with plot twists that aren't too far fetched considering the evidence and foreshadowing provided previously.
I really like Strauss too. It seems like he's really in control of the situation.
I'd have to partially agree with the comments which say the art is bad. It's not terrible. It's tolerable. But it's definitely not the greatest. Most of the female characters have bad taste with clothes. XD

I haven't read that much of it, like 5 chapters >>;; but so far I'm really liking Akabara (Vampire King). I feel bad for him, even though i don't know for sure whether or not he's the one at fault (truly) in this whole thing.
I hope Akabara wins the whole warish thing. =/ |
