Main character is a girl in love with her sensei (not at school, private tutor for a particular subject / course). She finds out he is something along the lines of an "exorcist" or "shaman" along with several other aquantinces or family members of his. They have the power of these different colored threads that each choose its own owner and have their own special power. The main character ends up accidently becoming the owner of one of the threads (i think it was white).

she was given up a long time ago to be a sacrifice in order to revive some sort of cocoon involving the threads. I believe that was the reason the sensei couldnt accept her love because he feels he doesnt deserve it since he was involved in the sacrificial incident.

She doesnt remember it at all, but she was the only survivor of the incident that was supposed to be sacrificied. Because she wasnt absorbed by the cocoon, whatever was inside couldnt be revived, so later when she comes face to face with the cocoon, it takes on the form of a young child and tries to coerce her into becoming one with him.

She has a vague memory of having been on her own before, but being "saved" by a young boy. She believes that person to be her sensei which is part of the reason she likes him, but it turns out to be the cocoon

Thanks in advance
