spoiler about the end : http://forums.mangafox.com/showthread.php?t=68977

But there is really no Shounen-ai, maybe 1 or 2 pages with 2 boys together like in the start with RangexChihiro and in the vol.5 with RangexAgeha but nothing really important

It seems to be more slash to me. Because no matter how you look at it, Ageha sees Nina, and Nina only.

Yeah, Ageha can't really fall for Rang if u think about it seriously.
He never see him more than a friend, and not really a close one. And he have always in mind that Nina love Range, so somewhere in his heart he may hate Range for that. Only Range see in Ageha something else than friendship.
Bah it's just a casual love triangle with 2 man and 1 girl, so in the end one will be left out.

The only thing that can be boring, is that Range and Ageha are the main character, Nina is more like a follower for the story...
Bah i always dislike relation between main characters. Why the héro is always in love with the other main character ? Damn that's why i hate many shojo, just because the time they spent together is drawed, u assume they are a good match and will ed together. But behind the scene, there is many other characters with whom they interact...

Sorry for my poor english, i hope what i wrote mean something somewhere else than in my mind xD

It totally IS shounen-ai, at least as much as Golden Days or From Eroica with Love is shounen-ai. Why? Because there is one leading male character that is CANONICALLY smitten with the male protagonist. The male protagonist is in love with a girl, but finds himself caring a lot about the male character who's smitten with him, albeit not in a romantic way. So basically, there is shounen-ai, even if it's (currently) unrequited. Very similar to Golden Days and From Eroica with Love, right? Unrequited gayness is STILL gayness, especially since it's on-screen and fully conveyed. And those stories are listed as shounen-ai, so I think this is, too.

Actually, I don't agree with the BL tags in Golden Days and Eroica. The only reason they're tagged as such is to warn people who loathe anything even remotely BL (which is a good thing 'cause otherwise such people would read them and give them ratings of 1 <_<)

But the reason Shibutani is not considered shounen-ai is because;

 1. The main pairing is heterosexual, and the protagonist has a female love interest who he obviously cares about way more than he does the guy who's trying to hit on him (unlike Mitsuya in GD and Klaus in Eroica - neither of whom have girlfriends as of the latest scanlated chapter)

and

 1. The weird singer guy never claims to love the male lead (Jin from GD and Dorian from Eroica make their feelings perfectly clear pretty early on in the story)

There is a sort-of BL side couple...but it can't really be considered as such because one of them has definite transsexual tendencies. The other guy was convinced he was a woman for the longest time, and encourages him to go ahead with his...transformation.
