I can't help it, I find male characters with a dark angsty past pref full of torture/rape/death moe O_o. Doesn't have to be rated R or anything like that, doesn't have to be graphic. I just like a tortured soul, esp if he's, at least trying not to be, all emo now.
Kagerou Nostalgia is great, 07-ghost isn't bad either. Good art and story is a plus.
Any suggestions?

@senefen
About Trigun, it´s a little hard to get used first, but later in Trigun Maximum it gets better than the anime in my opinion.

Dogs and Dogs Bullets & Carnage hands down.

Main protagonist was both physically and mentally tortured as a child by a sadistic woman, than forced to kill his little sister. He's definitely got problems (really jumpy around women) and a really nasty past but he doesn't wallow in self pity. Most of the characters in that series have sad stories. Only note is the only reason it is mature is because the prologue ( Dogs) has one scene of frontal female nudity and some sexual references. Hope you like it 🙂

I agree, you should read Dogs Bullets and Carnage.
You should try Loveless too! -> The protagonist is -Abused by his mentally ill mother -Suffers loss of memory which constantly bugs him -Has a sadistic older brother whose motives are yet unknown -Suffers from identity crisis 🤣

Dogs seems to be the kind of thing I'm looking for, so thanks 🙂
Reading Black Cat but wasn't really what I was looking for.

lol I read the first 3-4 volumes of loveless then I forgot about it, then I tried to get more but they dont have it at Empire and the scanlators site was difficult and it was all a lot of bother. Might try again.

Still getting through the first volumes of the others. Thanks guys
