What's with the new fashion of Alpha, Beta and Omega bloods?

I have noticed, that there are more than one mangaka, who does these stories (Thought i cannot remember their names)

Is this some new invention in yaoi mangas?

And cause i have totally forgotten the mangas, than what were the mangas those are used in?

The Omegaverse trope itself isn't something new. It has been used in fanfictions for quite a while now although I think some mangakas just recently started to incorporate it into their works.
(It certainly isn't a yaoi invention)
