To answer your question... "Humanity is a work in progress."

I apologize if this may sound harsh, but I'm kinda amused that the OP posed the question of believing whether things in this video have really occurred. Most of what was stated is historical fact (enola gay, anthrax, etc..) or concepts such as (war, famine...), things we'd like to ignore or pretend they don't exist.

Anyways, I don't find anything really worth discussing from that video. Sure, it has a powerful effect; then again so would most any voice-over with the right music and imagery.

This didn't surprise me one bit or make touch me greatly, it just reminded me that I should stay away from that path as I am doing now.
The only thing I have ever watched that has mortified me was The Human Centipede, it was sick to think that it's possible for someone to do something like that if they really wanted. The trailer is on youtube...but I must warn you that it is not for people that have weak stomachs. The movie was a lot worse than the trailer so if you want to watch it I suggest you begin with the trailer to see if you can handle to watch the rest.

Cruelty and 'unfairness' is nothing new- one just has to overcome it and live the most decent/content life one can. The world is full of horrible things, but as humans we don't only feel pain and suffer, but also happiness

Did you expect this world to be happy? Yeah, people are messed up. But we won't see a difference. Everyday it's people killing, selling women and kids off to trafficking, all that kind of stuff.

Edit: The choices on the poll, they all aim for "this is bad" or "we can change this". Can you add a "This is the world"?

There is no such thing as evil. There is just a lot of justice that conflicts with each other. For example, Hitler believed that getting rid of the Jews is the right thing to do, while most people believes that its wrong. Both ideals conflict with one another but both sides believe they are right. In response to the video, those are just a bunch of negative issues we humans do in reality. However there are a lot of good things humanity have done. Humans are sinful creatures to begin with, you can't expect any of us to not do anything bad.

as for dasnik, after reading your two threads... just become what you want to be! If you aren't feel you are human, you despised human and humanity, then question your own existence not humanity.
i'm sure you are lost and you need answer, someone who can answer your existence as human being. Go look for help then.

The same thing I thought of humanity before this. That is, that we're a race of maniacal, degenerate monkeys with a suicidal combination of consciousness permeating base instinct, and the ability to adapt hostile environments to suit our every whim. We're plenty homo, but not at all sapient. At least animals have to indulge their baser instincts out of dire need, for the sake of survival, but where's our excuse?
